Tottenham is a lot more Tottenham than us yids tend to think..It is,if you drink round there, anyway. The pubs are certainly top heavy with us of the true faith.
I agree. Older generations are mostly yids. But lots of the younger people are gooners, sadly. Still more us than them though, just about. As you say, especially the sorts of people who go to pubs.

I'll never forget coming out of the ground when we beat Woolwich 2-1 (Kane header) to see people in the Park Lane estate all out on their balconies singing along with the yids who had been inside the ground.

Born in Plaistow, lived a stone's throw from the pikeys ground. Family moved to Basildon when I was 17 where there were plenty of yids even though it was a pikey area. Moved to Bury Lancs 18 months ago. Quite a few Spurs up here in the Manchester area and surrounding areas, hence the Northwest supporters club.

I've rented my gaff out in the East End and have taken a cottage in Orford for the summer. I've been up here two months already and fuck me it's quite. I've been going to Orford at the weekends for about 25yrs and it's always a buzzy place but Tuesday - Thursday there is tumbleweed rumbling through a deserted village as all the homes are 2nd homes owned by fucking hedge fund managers and Nick Robinson and Ian Hislop. Might have made a mistake, missing the smoke.
My farm is about 35mins from Orford . The problem is "nice places " will attract money . Most places don't have a lot going on mid week as it's a very underpopulated part of the country but keeps it unique and unspoilt . Saying that there is things happening but really only for locals . My wife is in community Choir , art groups etc. Holiday season starts June and your find everything getting busier.
Walberswick has Richard Curtis , Emma Freud , Brendan Morrissey, Caroline Quentin and at one time Chris Evans would run the local pub.
I enjoy the buzz of a big city, as l have property in Brixton/Waterloo and will take my girls to Williamsburg, Brooklyn in October /half term and l have lived a very Rock n roll lifestyle many years ago doing clubs in Soho when it was still seedy . My point is that bringing a family up here is rather idyllic to other parts of the country but also a mindset.

Sounds simple but logistics of storing, transporting might be a problem and involve a bit of dosh to resolve. I did take a look at maybe buying an Ice cream van, fuck me they are expensive, I had no idea.

Ooh - Ice cream van. Fantastic idea. I'd be useless with that though. I'd end up about 35 stone and unable to get out of it without cutting the side out!

lol having a stroll down Bell Lane shows how much London has changed - never used to be a car in sight now days its double parking on both sides. We used to play football on the car park on bell view estate because it was deserted and ideal pitch size. Last time I saw it there were security guards keeping excessive cars out!
Most of my mates went to St Marys, was my first choice for senior school but mum wanted her only child at grammar school so off to Christ College it was.

Oh, blatant 'I've been to Grammar School' brag!

We talked about this before hadn’t we :dierpochhug:

Shout to the Suffolk yids out there Xxx

Believe so! So there’s 3 of us!

Randomly went to Felixstowe last night.. to a pub full of villa fans. I guess ex brummies who have moved to work on the docks ?

Curtis has also got a place up the road in Iken too apparently!

Still at least I'm racking up the miles on my bike, nice not having to cycle an hour from home until it starts to get green, when it's on your doorstep I'm looking to make the most of it.

I am worried I'm going to die of boredom soon though, any ideas for some jobs that people do here? Don't really mind what they are so long as it's not involving anything near cow or pig shit, staring at a PC or in an office, that's what I need a brake from.
Curtis main home is Walberswick. He was in Halesworth last week with Danny Boyle shooting a new film and using it as location. An odd combination , they shut the town down
It's hard with working , as l work for myself l tend to live in micro bubble. I'm very tied to the land so have little idea how the real world gets along . We are a tourist/farming area with no industry . There is Sizewell. Most people l know are self employed , farming , holiday cottages , trades , servicing agricultural equipment .
Maybe look in retail in Woodbridge, not very exciting but they take extras on over the summer , on try to sell something direct to the holiday makers on the beaches .
I wish you luck but the truth is we are full of pig shit.
