I second that, ran a game as good as Xavi, attacked as good as Gerrard or De Bruyne, best I have seen live in the PL and yes I include Ronaldo, Gerrard, Henry in that.
Very few midfielders in my football watching lifetime as good or better, Zidane and not much else. Completely wasted by tactically useless England managers.

I only agree with the second bit!
In recent times, I think those two are probably the ones that scared me the most when they had the ball. Especially De Bruyne.

I was very young at the time, but the player that stands out for me is Ardiles. He was a wizard in my eyes. Got to see him play a few times and was always amazed at how elegant a footballer (& bloody strong) he was. Hoddle, Waddle & Gazza were pretty special too. Lineker (cunt), Klinsmann & Bale...
