Ex-Spurs Player Brennan Johnson

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He scored a breakaway when it was 2-0 and the added time was up. This isn’t exactly the best example to prove his goalscoring value.
Scoring a goal is a pretty good example to measure goalscoring, to be fair.

No win for him tonight. Doesn’t score, he’s shite. Does score and it’s only Doncaster.

FWIW I thought he was ok tonight. Bit better than other performances this season, bit worse than a lot last season.

Sell whilst his price is still relatively high.
Exactly. Many mid table clubs could use a PL proven goalscorer.

And dare I say it he suits a counter attacking team better than ours. He'd be useful under Glasner/Iraola on the wing or maybe back at Forest. Could make 25-30m off him if we play our cards right.

Be ruthless and get the money now sooner than later.

Not his biggest fan but even put it some decent crosses tonight.
Definitely shouldn't be playing from the left hand side.

Yeah before he got a feel for the players, he’s since very clearly been relegated to substitute and man for the league cup games etc.

A last minute icing on the cake goal against Doncaster isn’t changing his mind. We didn’t learn anything new about him. He can score some goals.
You get that it's probably he doesn't fancy him on the left and not that he doesn't fancy him as a player right? You get that Frank wanted to sign him at Brentford as well right?
You're probably gonna be disappointed in the not so distant future.

Aye, fine. Ok. Standard stuff really.

I keep backing him, but even I’ll readily admit that he does the square root of fuck all when he isn’t scoring.

But I like the scoring thing.
It's a good habit to have, absolutely.

At this stage of his career though, he needs to be playing regular football, and his knack of goalscoring will be sought after to soke clubs.

I like Brennan, he's just too limited with the rest of his game. Probably suits everyone to think about alternatives in the summer, but I'll miss him.

Important to note, as always, that the game is literally about scoring more goals than your opponents. So if you had to pick a football skill to have, scoring goals is probably the best thing you can choose.
