I'm guessing we are 3rd seed again.

Anyone got that list on what the likely first and second seeds groups are and the potential groups we could get!?

According to Wiki we are in 19th position for co-efficient points, but that position is after Woolwich and Chelsea who will not be or not likely to be in CL. So if one of the others above us drops out we would be in 16th position - and with 8 groups we would just scrape into Pot 2. So until we have the full list of CL participants we cannot be sure,,,and in fact it may come down to seeing of one of them goes not make it into the Group Stages !

Seems like we're more likely to end up in the 2nd pot this time around along with the likes of United, Shalke, Napoli, Atletico, and even Real if they fail to beat Liverpool in the final.

Porto and Lokomotic Moscow will be in Pot 1.

UEFA 5-year Club Ranking 2018

We're about 4th or 5th out of 8 in the second pot - Liverpool winning the CL would knock us down a place but can't see of any possibilities that will see us pushed into Pot 3. The league winners of the top ranked 7 leagues plus the CL winners automatically go into Pot 1.

Personally I'd prefer to get a Pot 1 team from one of the shitty leagues. Look at the easy passage that gave Liverpool.

Not disagreeing with you but how do you get to being 4th or 5th in Pot 2 from the list you reference showing us to be in 19th position - or to put it another way which of the 18 clubs above us are not in Pot 1 or in Pot 2 ?

Simple, many of the teams teams above us are not going to be in CL next season.

Looking through all the 18 clubs above us, Seville (no 6 on the list), Woolwich (no 9 on the list), Chelsea (no 12 on the list - probably) , probably/possibly Zenit St Petersberg (no 18 on the list),are not in CL next year (with Zenit and Chelsea not yet certain).

All the other 14 clubs in the 18 places above us are in CL next season.

A couple such as Basel (2nd Qualifying round) will be in CL at earlier than Group Stage, so may be knocked out before the Group Stages where Spurs need to be in top 16 to ensure Pot 2 status (there being 8 groups).

So its almost certain that Spurs will be in Pot 2 - but if Chelsea are in CL and Liverpool are not, we need Zenit to definitely miss out to be sure of Pot 2, but might still get there if a club like Basel get knocked out before the group stages.

Woolwich, Chelsea and Sevilla out of CL puts us at 16 and in pot 2. Then we have to see what Basel, Benefica and Zenit do, which could bump us up even further. Honestly, more would have to go wrong than right for us not to be in pot 2.

...

So pot 3 then, eh?

This time there's no ref and the media (all ex Liverpool) aren't involved so its Pot 2.

Oops, forgot the Spursy factor, you were right, Pot 3

Bring on the big boys again.
I’d like Juventus to see if we can do them this time. A brain fart 3 minutes aside in the second leg, we had that tie in the bag. It’s always nice to right a wrong.
I’d rather Barca in the later stages, and/or Bayern.
That said, I couldn’t really give a fuck if we end up with an easier group on paper & waltz through to the quarters or semis by playing lesser teams. Didn’t do the dippers any harm not meeting a decent side til the quarters.

You gotta trust ole Gibbsy.
In case anyone is interested, I did some research to find out which pot woolwich are in, and here it is.

Not to ruin everyone’s maths, but no matter who the Russian champions are they’re behind us in coefficient now and will be snaking a Pot 1 place. Domino effect, we need to rank in the top 15 come time for the draw to get Pot 2.

Pot 3, it is!

We need Zenit to finish outside CL spots.

Aa it stands, they are 5 points behind, 2 places below from the last CL place.
