Personally I'm sick and tired of clubs being given pointless tiny fines or stadium closures as it's proven to not work.
I know this would likely never happen, but this would be my three tier punishment for clubs for racism/homophobia/transphobia/abuse based on religion.
1st offence: 3-0 walkover given to opposing team, £1,000,000 fine.
2nd Offence: 3-0 Walkover given to opposing team, 21 point league deduction or 7 wins, expulsion from domestic cup & Continental competition for current season, £5,000,000 fine.
3rd Offence: 3-0 Walkover given to opposing team, expulsion from all competitive football for remainder of current season or if within last 5 games of current season, banned for remainder of it and following season, relegation to next division down or if already mathematically relegated, dropped two divisions, £10,000,000 fine.
Money from all fines to be used for grassroots football.
Any further offences result in a repeat of 3rd offence punishments.
You can call those extreme if you want, but there has to be zero tolerance for this crap. The bigots couldn't care less if their club is fined because they don't have to pay it, plus locking them out of the stadium for 1-3 matches does nothing.
When and where did this happen and who did the burning?Does an effigy of a white irish catholic in a celtic jersey been burned from a bonfire class as racism, sectarianism or anti irish?? .the racism thread is closed so can someone explain why this goes under the radar?? Is it not worse than someone being abused on shitty social media
The lovely loyalist folk up the north of ireland
Happens all the time. Nothing unusual about this kind of thing from either side of the divide
Some people dislike racism and campaign against it, but some countries the majority of fans (read football customers) like racism and enjoy it. Until that changes, nothing will.
That can only change with education and equality stemming from government policy. Failing that, a revolution based on race division.
Bring that into it and you might as well just shut down Rangers and Celtic.Does an effigy of a white irish catholic in a celtic jersey been burned from a bonfire class as racism, sectarianism or anti irish?? .the racism thread is closed so can someone explain why this goes under the radar?? There’s something of a very obvious flaw in your so-called draconian punishments. What’s to stop vast numbers of rival supporters entering a ground having paid internet touts... rivals intent on bringing about charges against a rival club?Personally I'm sick and tired of clubs being given pointless tiny fines or stadium closures as it's proven to not work.

It was apparently cut from the radio version of the show according to a producer. It happened on the online version of the show during an ad break or something.
