City got away with it by obstructing UEFA, something they were found to have breached. But ironically it was that same breach which led to the more serious allegations being time barred or there not being "sufficient conclusive evidence".
What is the point of it all if Citeh can commit fraud on a wide scale? Yes, fraud, even the obstruction involved false statements and at the very least a conspiracy to defraud (common law fraud essentially).

Not a surprise, but a sobering reality. The impact on Spurs is that ENIC’s policy of self sustained investment was backed up by FFP regulations. Now they are busted their conservative business model looks even less valid in the billionaire’s play ground. Wolves were already the next “cheats”. No stopping them now or anyone else dumb enough to be involved in football.

City won their appeal against their two year UEFA ban for breaking Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled in their favour.
The ruling means City are free to carry on playing in the Champions League and has removed the threat of a mass exodus of players due to their potential European exile.
City bosses will also use the decision to persuade Guardiola - who is already in the final year of his £20million-a-year contract - to sign a new long-term deal.

He's never really been the most scrupulous of people. He went to Qatar near the end of his career when he could of kept on playing at a high level in Europe but he chased the cash then, he's chased the cash now. Not sure he's got a leg to stand on.

He's also one of the most overrated managers in recent history IMO, yeah he's won a lot of trophies, but look at the teams he's managed, Barcelona with an in prime Xavi, Iniesta & Messi as just a few examples, Bayern Munich who'd just come off of winning a Bundesliga, German Cup & Champions League treble, and Man City with basically unlimited funds.

IMO, when you compare him to the likes of Alex Ferguson, who took Aberdeen to an Old-Firm dominated Scottish league title and a European Trophy, and an underperforming Man Utd team to the dominant force in English football, he isn't that impressive.
