Filthy game.... All that dosh sloshing about; shit like this shouldn't be happening.... It's not Scunthorpe ffs!

Maybe they should of used the furlough scheme in March then they wouldn’t of had to get rid of these people?
Levy got a lot of shit for doing that at Spurs, when he should have been commended.
Surely the players could club together and pay the wages? Or take a pay cut to make sure the staff can get payed, shocking behaviour
Same could have been levelled at any PL footballer in the country. Didn't the PFA tell players not to take pay cuts during the pandemic?

Yeah pretty sure they told them not to, i doubt the gooners will be the first club to do this either now

Getting rid of some staff it would appear :

Looking on the bright side that surely has to be 55 less supporters if the club has dumped them into the jobless box.
"The club have made clear that they have received "significant financial support" from owner Stan Kroenke for the refinancing of stadium debt. But it has not gone unnoticed that the American's wealth, already estimated at $8.3bn (£6.32bn), has reportedly increased by $400m (£305m) during the pandemic."

The timing of this is fucking weird. Why not in April at the height of the pandemic? They could have used the furlough scheme.

And this is after they just won more than that amount by winning the FA Cup. How fucked would they have been if they lost and had no Europa League either?

Waited until they fluked the cup and got all the cunts in a good mood first...

Proved right in their reasoning, clubs will still be spending big on transfers and wage increases for players. - they said it would be better to give directly to charity rather than a cut for the clubs who would likely spend on playing staff (possibly to replace themselves).

They should be totally ashamed if (A) they offer Aubameyang a wage increase (B) they sign anyone on a 100k + contract disgusting cretins but shame won’t come into it ignorance to a man the lot of them.
I don't really get this logic. I get what you are trying to say but this is football not a mobile phone company or a Pie Shop.

Not aimed at you specifically but the entire game (clubs, supporters and media) is based on the "value" of players. When a team doesn't spend money they get slaughtered, fans raging for "xxx" chairman to "spend some fucking money". When a club doesn't spend enough money they get slaughtered for buying "2nd choices". When a player is prized away to another club they get slaughtered for not paying high enough wages, "pay him what he wants".

I said this at the time but like us and Liverpool who wanted to furlough some of their staff should have done just that, had they (we) done that these same staff would still be in jobs for the next 3 months or so (and would have been paid 80% of their wages for the 3 months whilst furloughed. But instead, the fans and the press claimed it was wrong to do that and were up in arms about it.

Now, for me at least, the only bone of contention to be had with this is that the Woolwich players took a pay cut so as to avoid this situation. There is the deceit and also provides some of the insight as to why the PFA advised it's members not to take a pay cut.

Football supporters and media are going to look like hypocritical mugs (more now than ever before) if they start to dig players out on what they earn. The business of football is about money, the players are at the end of the transaction. What about the agents negotiating, their % is greater than the amount it would cost to pay these staff and they aren't even employed by the Club. Have you seen our Offical Club Twitter feed, every single post is swamped by fans shouting "announce "x", "Levy you tight bald cunt, spend some money" etc. etc.....
