Their problems run deliciously deep. Overpaid players with shit attitude, a manager out of his depth. Poor recruitment compounded over many years.

Well look at the bigger picture that’s 6pts less we will have them going down so not every cloud has a silver lining.
They hollowed out their scouting department the moment the last installment on their stadium was paid. They promised big money transfers and they delivered on that promise. But without a scouting department, they relied on agent offers... and promptly started flushing money down the drain left and right.
Woolwich are a cautionary tale. In noticing that world-class players are usually prima donnas with world-class egos, they started signing prima donnas with world-class egos... without checking to make sure that they were getting world class players. Cart in front of the horse, etc.

Instead they sign one ‘’superstar’’ to win the transfer window, do a stupid song about him like Thomas Part te he he and then wonder why they are progressively declining.
They need a fire sale followed by using youth players and supplementing with one or two extras to build a proper team. Right now they are just a bunch of individuals who like to win social media.
Another thing if you took the best 11 of each Team and made them have a fist fight, Woolwich would be rock bottom. They are weaklings.

The decline started before Wenger left. Their recruitment in the early Wenger years was amazing, but by the end there were many more misses than hits. David Dein was said to be a key figure and never adequately replaced.
He could do what Poch did.
They have young players that are at least as good as Ryan Mason, Bentaleb and Andros Townsend but he won't give them a go.
They’re financially desperate to get a European place this season and with the actual quality teams from basically 1st to 8th there’s no way they’re going to get one of those spots.

I'm very suspicious has a crack team of comedy writers high level Ianucci, David, Morris, Gervais. Recruited some frankly fantastic actors and infiltrated this whole set up?
