There is always one team stupid enough to go with a name that has managed at Man United. It is the kind of appointment Stoke would have made when in the prem.

To be fair he only has himself to blame to an extent. Every time I've seen him play for United when he has been given a chance, he's been bang average at best. If you're not playing because the likes of Fred and McTominay are rated more than you and starting ahead of you, you need to ask yourself questions.

That said, I never thought he was great for Ajax. He was solid and played in a very good, exciting Ajax team. But the real star players in that side were the likes of Ziyech, De Jong and Tadic.

Coach Ole has seemingly told him he’s not good enough for Manchester United and he’ll be sold in January. Poor kid his confidence must be on the floor after that when McFred is the benchmark.
