Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Which ‘marquee’ signings have paid off for them? They’ve gone down the route of overpaying for a superstar, forgetting you need the team to be top drawer, not just one or two. At least RM went all out for a whole team of superstars back in the Galactico days. And, as much as Pep is a right dick, he knows to build a team, not just buy Robinho, or Sanchez...or whoever.

It keeps getting better:

"Manchester United's dressing room was extremely fractious during half-time against Spurs. Arguments were breaking out in all directions but there was a general consensus that all the players were furious with Lamela for faking his injury".

Yup, good to hear of the manure meltdown. One version has it Bruno was so vocal, Ole subbed him. Another that Bruno got into it with Matic. And Pogba needn't have bothered coming out for the second half. LMFAO.

Mourinho's half-time substitution of Lucas Moura for Lamela was absolutely the correct decision. His judgement of these types of situations, where one team will target an opposition player (be it the risk of a second yellow or on-field retribution) is outstanding. And he acts decisively. None of this "let's give it 15 minutes" garbage.

AWB, Bailly, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, & Fred = APPROX THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY MILLION BRITISH POUND STERLING.

You could argue only Matic is worth anything near what their fee commanded, and Maguire is one of the worst signings of all time, but we know why he's being protected.

In recent years, Zlatan is the only one that has payed off. Helped drag Jose's team to a Europa League and a League Cup.

Maguire is an OK defender at premier league level, he's just not an £80 mil player and probably not at the level Man United want in a captain.

For me this is what football is about, not sluggish players like Maguire chasing their own tails

So which match puts the stake through the heart of OGS this month, defeat to Newcastle ? and/or a hammering from PSG and /or losing at home to Chelsea ?.
I don't think he'll be in charge for the home game against Leipzig on October 28th. Sad really because as long as he's manager they are going nowhere.

Apparently Ole gave the board a list of players he wanted/needed before the window (Sancho, Grealish and either Upamecano or Ake) according to ESPN. He got none of them.

Poch should be wary about going to United considering how picky he is reported to be about transfers.

United have serious issues at the top, almost every player that goes there declines.

Shaw: best left back in the league for Saints
Maguire: looked really good at Leicester
Martial: looked like a superstar in the making
AWB: has the best defensive stats of any full back at Crystal Palace
Pogba: he has issues and limitations but still should be producing much more
De Gea: top keeper now a joke

The player power, the culture, something way beyond the manager is fucked up at United.

There is an attitude which runs through that club from the very top down to the players themselves, it's called arrogance and it will gradually destroy them completely.

I think it's those CL games if Man U looks like they getting eliminated. It's too early in the league for the power that be to justify the sacking, where their fan still buying the Man U way BS, and blaming the board, not the manager. They would still give him time citing it's a tough run of fixture.

Their board has to go, until it goes its almost irrelevant the manager, while the players are in control even under Mourinho they will be a talented collective creating a mediocre team.

If Poch goes there soon as he gets conflict with Pogba the board will tell Poch to shut up, his authority will go and that will be that.

Their fan base is full of useful idiots since many are just glory hunters. Easy for their board to manipulate. The one who see the issue would be overshadowed by those who easy to please. Their board is just there to stay until there is no money to make.
