They've said they won't sell, so if they break that now the owners will look weak and only interested in the money which is what many of the fans have realized recently. For a brief second we saw the promised land. We had a team that were cheated out of the champions league places by dodgy refereeing decisions.
We had a team to be proud of and at it's a heart a player who we all agreed (at the time) was the best to put on the shirt. He had his own anthem that we all sang in unison.
But we were sold a pup by a board with no ambition. Instead of buying quality to go around him we bought a shower of ****.
Of course he wants to go, who can blame him?
This whole thing has been engineered from the start, there is no way those spivs could keep a £30million asset that would start to depreciate in value. They wont invest in the team, there will be more empty promises.
This is a sad day for the club

The saddest thing about this is that I'm finding it hard to care anymore. 10 years ago I would have been gutted, but now the connection is gone. Not just to West Ham, but to football. I no longer feel part of it and I'm finding it harder and harder to justify turning over my money every season to a bunch of spoilt brats to whom we have no connection.
I mean the whole club has basically gone down the toilet. Instead of loyal, passionate supports we now play in a soulless bowl that has been dillluted with the number of daytrippers. We were promised a team to build around Payet and instead have bought players like Zaza, Calleri, Nordtveit and now Scott Hogan who are nowhere near the level we should be aiming for. I would be as frustrated as he is right now playing in that team. Go and get your dream move to Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus, Dimitri.
One of the quotes from Bilic recently regarding transfers and the basis on which we sign players were that they have to be 'cheap', sums us up really, we're cheap, cheap rented stadium, cheap tickets, cheap players.
Levy would still be able to get £50M for him now, our clowns will be lucky to get anywhere near half that.

This is the most delusional one. The West Ham fans have convinced themselves that they were cheated out of CL last season, that the league conspired against them with bad refereeing decisions to stop them getting in to avoid the embarrassment for the league of having a team run by people who made their fortune from pornography...
