I used to quite like West Ham, at least when they played good football and had a great academy i.e. before the days of Fat Sam.
I am not sure where you call the line of big clubs - for me, Spurs are, because they are listed on the largest clubs in the world at around 12 or 14 - haven't bothered to check for a while. that's pretty big in my book. Sure, there are English clubs that are bigger.
We are not the oldest club, we are fairly new, in fact, joining up what, about 20 years late? We have a fantastic history, albeit the best bits were 50 years ago, and are responsible for things like the saying 'Sick as a parrot' from when the club parrot died the night the gooners cheated themselves into the top flight, and 'Glory, Glory' because the football we played was so good it must have been made in Heaven. And we have done some things to be proud of, such us standing up against racism by calling ourselves Yids.
I dislike Woolwich intensely, essentially for historical reasons regarding their ownership by a conman who cheated them into the league and deliberately tried to pinch our fans, also for their history of employing criminals. But I admit that they are a big club with a strong history.
I dislike Chelsea, essentially because when I was beginning to get interested in football they were the thugs, their fans all bovver boys looking for trouble, and to this day remain horrible racist bigots, and I also feel they are really a second division club (I know not totally true, but nearly).
I do like Fulham, though dislike Al Fayad, and I like QPR. Don't think either are big or historical. Millwall I like and dislike - like for their recent family atmosphere, dislike for past violence.

Yeah, but the crumb doesn't sing racist chants at you or suddenly think it's more important than you. The crumb won't claim to have won the World Cup either. That's why I prefer crisps over West Ham basically.

They have invented this non-existent rivalry and see THFC as their cup final and then despite being 'the best supporters in the country' have to put the tickets on general sale to shift them. Embarrassing and a bit sad really.

I actually do hate west ham and for me its the only game outside of matches against the other top 6 teams that has a needly atmosphere.
I don't hate them because they are rivals on the pitch or in the league. It's more to do with desperately wanting to shut their horrible bigoted wide boy cunt fans up as they feel the need to give it the biggun all the time. Their owners are just as bad. Pathetic porn barons who have nearly secured tenancy in the Olympic stadium through some dodgy dealings and loaning cash off a struggling council. And yet they can't even sell out a home game against their so called 'biggest rivals.' on Monday.
But like most have said, I only give a monkeys when we play them. I actually want them to win when playing Woolwich, Chelsea, city etc. whereas when Woolwich play Chelsea I'm just praying for several horrendous injuries to both sides and a very localised outbreak of the Ebola virus.
