I really think in a cup competition there are so many more factors at play. Anything can happen on the night and If a team has the momentum and togetherness like West Ham, I don’t see why they can’t win.

The idea we shouldn't have been doing everything possible to win the EL when we were in it is so stupid. Now instead of having some "second rate" trophies to show for the Kane era we'll just have fuck all to show for it.
Anyone who thinks they can't possibly win it are fooling themselves. They're in a semi final and have beaten the team who are 3rd in La Liga who are EL specialists. They're two games vs 9th placed Frankfurt away from a final, which would probably be against Leipzig who are very good but far from unbeatable. West Ham have claimed bigger scalps this season.
Leipzig obvious favourites now, but in a final between them and West Ham I'd honestly say it's only 60/40 in their favour.

Only way 4th doesn't get CL is if Liverpool or City finish outside the top 4.
I suppose it’s immaterial - it’s probably mathematically impossible for either team to finish outside top four now ..

Top 4 is the holy grail above any of the cups. CL being the exception.
(And we have made semi finals and finals. We have tried. But failed.)

The stadium wasn't a product of the CL. In fact, the plan was for the stadium to propel us into the CL. It was the result of a decade and a half of planning. It was getting built regardless of results, as it was key to ENIC's plan to maximize value of the club.
I'm part of the global fan base, and even I think that's a weak case. The global fan base would rather have won the EL several years ago - being in the Top 4 back then didn't change the fact we were in the fucking Europa Conference this season, did it?
I'm not talking about our failed semis and finals in the domestic cups, which we've also deprioritized. Speaking very specifically, we intentionally fucked off the EL most times we were in it in the past decade when we had a real opportunity to win it. Now we're wringing our hands over the Spammers winning it and having that success to rub in our faces while we wave about another Top 4 banner.
The EL - Which seasons did we purposefully fuck it off?
I can think of one off the top of my head.
And I travelled abroad to other European games where we took a strong team but ultimately failed. Not good enough rather than not taking it seriously.
