Sad thing is, what with recent events,.I can see them being offered it at a very low price. So the taxpayer gets had over twice.
That's the most likely outcome. But it's not great for them. The stadium is a turd and as the saying goes, you can't polish a turd. The area is not fit for football and the stadium is not fit for football.
You could try and patch it up but the only way you could make it decent is to rip the entire structure down and build a new one around the existing pitch, and we all know they haven't got that kind of capital.
They are losing a significant amount each month and there are concerns about their future.
The team are going Ok and not in a relegation battle, which is lucky for the owners because the gullible fans are enjoying the ride this season instead of jumping over every decision they make..

How often do you hear form Brady these days? She's gone very quiet and I'd imagine she will be seen even less now that Porn Whore of Sullivan's is on the board.

The fans keep banging on about a massive take over but the sooner they get in to their thick heads that Sullivan's two sons are being primed to take over the club, the better.

They are a mess from top to bottom and them being in the top 10 is taking their minds off the clusterfuck that is going on around them..

They are the nearest thing to a premier league club going completely out of business.

How on earth does a stadium lose 29 mil a year ? Am I missing something obvious ?
West Ham pay £2.5 m per year to rent it for starters! They don't even pay for policing! The fact that they are the "main" tenant directly affects their landlords from being able to recoup revenue from other sports, so it's a double whammy. Not to mention that they can't secure a nameing rights partner, made all the more difficult when your major tenants are known racists, invade the pitch, have punch-ups in and out of the stadium, have owners/directors who are porn stars, porn barons and sell fake lace crotchless panties and dildos, that's not a good fit for say HSBC to have their name associated with.

If your landlord goes out of business you are still made homeless though.

be interesting..one would assume that, as with most assets, its would be sold off to pay debts.
Unless its offered directly to spam, i cant see them being able to outbid too many for it

and (Im not a property Lawyer, so would i have no idea), in the even of the holding company going bust, and someone else buying the stadium, would their lease still be be valid?

It cost the stadium owners £280,000 per week to to run the stadium, West ham pay them £150,000. So there is already a big loss, Some of that loss is recouped through other events, but there have been no other events since last March.. Lets not forget that £29m loss is pre- covid so god only knows what the loss will be next year.
No one will want to take on that risk so it will continue to be bailed out by the tax payer. Anyone who did want to buy it would insist on a massive contribution from the government because they would be doing them a favour by taking it off their hands. but the Government cannot be seen to be throwing more money into a stadium that has cost so much already, especially with the country on it's knees.

The club themselves will not want to buy it for that very reason, on the other hand there is a seriously big concern that they could end up homeless..

It pains me to being you this sad news but it's true.
