Senior FA offical had said 75% chance season isn't finished. Can't see how clubs would have a leg to stand in in regards to legal action.

Only slight precedent is during ww2 when the league was suspended then canceled all together.

It's a national emergency so I imagine government legislation will back the FA and UEFA in canceling it and just wiping it also

That's the common sense thought but we all know that is seriously lacking when it comes to football fans (and politicians now!)

In South Australia, they have been the first to have introduced the drive in COVID19 testing center and some wags have now promoted the rumor that the Government are giving away free long-necks of beer in every drive through bottle shops for every test completed and registering negative. For the positive tests they are chucking people in hostels and giving them a bottle of 70% gin every day and crossing their fingers.

Do you lot reckon they'll cancel the summer transfer window so teams next year have an even start?

No need, provided the same rules are equally applied to all teams it's not an issue, the issue is when rules apply differently to different teams ... which is why it's very hard to see the 2019/20 season getting finished how will games played two months later where teams (like Spurs) will have a full fit squad be the same as playing knackered squads in March or indeed squeezing 8 games into three weeks. That opens up all sorts of legal challenges, maybe the EPL can override the legal system by invoking 'act of god' circumstances ... guess we will know in a few months.

With National League games still on, surely the sensible thing to do if they aren’t getting called off is to give them the slots the PL and Championship games had lined up. Help them line their pockets a little and give everyone at least something they can chew on over the weekends etc

They're likely on because there won't be tens of thousands of people there watching potentially spreading infection.

Cant see many turning up in the current situation tbh.

The precedent is that if a game gets abandoned in the 70th minute due to weather etc the result is null and void even if a team is 9-0 up?

Eye that also until it was certain by maths that Liverpool would win and who would go up or down and whos won stuff they can't just say what would of happened because it's not certain.

As shit (fucking hilarious) as it is for Liverpool Leeds and the others they can not give the title to anyone or send anyone up or down until the seasons finished

Probably but my point is with Sky not having any games on TV, why not broadcast the National League games to fill schedule gaps and Tom give them a little TV money to help the levels close right to grassroots etc? I wouldn’t be against that at all.
