The fairest solution all round is to abandon this season. Start the next one when the worst of it is over in three months or so but make it a one off 23 team league, with no one relegated and the current top 3 in the Championship promoted. And also make a one off expanded edition of the CL, with the top 8 from the major leagues qualifying.

This is what Bundesliga is considering.

Proposed for the UEFA meeting, the emergency one they are having after taking a long weekend, it will be rejected for all sorts of reasons but mostly legal ...

The only legal option open to leagues is to just right of 2019/20 and go back to the end of 2018/19 that treats all clubs exactly the same ... any 'fudge' that financially benefits clubs by granting unfair advantage, such as promoting or relegating a team who have played different fixtures, that's a legal minefield.

COVID is here for months this season is over and won't get finished ... whilst stopping all games should already have happened, there is no rush to make a decision on 2019/20 in the end the only logical decision is to just pretend the 2019/20 never happened ... scousers are going to melt

Well just to keep the numbers even in each league, they should still relegate West Ham. 18 teams in the Championship and 22 in the PL.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but apparently the RB Leipzig keeper has been diagnosed with COVID. But Spurs players don't need to be tested, as they got nowhere near him during the game on Tuesday.

Hahaha

How hilarious would it be if Liverpool lost the league by1 point last season and “didn’t” win it this year by 1 game.....Yep pretty hilarious (of course not belittling the seriousness of this Corona thing)

With the latest news about Arteta and Hudson Odoi, there is little chance any games will go ahead this weekend.
Never known anything like it..

Our country sweeping this under the carpet is irresponsible to say the least.

Maybe it will be a 2-3 month break now, and then start it up again with finishing this season. Then straight away start the new season as planned in August?
and all players injured by October? ... most clubs would play B teams and use games as warm ups it would be a total farce .... imagine getting relegated because your rivals have all played against Liverpool and City reserves ... simply not realistic, but then who knows what the EPL will do for the money

Can't see the appetite for that. People will want to start over afresh. Cancelling and voiding makes much more sense. The point of debate will be what to be done about Promotion/relegation and the European places. Can't see a genuine case for just doing it based upon what the current standings are, we have to play 4 rivals for European places at home, and Chelsea still have play the two best teams while we've completed our games against them.

Tbh fam, this is the first time I've been grateful for so many people treating their football club as a surrogate identity. Once the PL shuts down of its own accord, a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't be asking too many questions are going to start wondering why the government is doing so little about something big enough to cancel all the football for the first time in... Well, I don't recall anything like this in my lifetime.
