- all 3 youth teams who drew lost on penalties (less experience & concentration etc than the men at taking pens).
- Only Newcastle and Southampton youth teams (2 out of 7) won against lower league opposition, so a draw (as Spurs u23's achieved) is a very respectable result, the more so when you find we had one 21 year old playing and average age of 18/19 including 2 x 16 year olds who played.
