"Daniel Levy and his family have in the event of a sale and dependent on him remaining in his role, a 29% ownership of ENIC Group"
That's why this happening was always so unlikely.
The wording of the statement doesn't suggest that. They said they took the decision to keep the club moving forward or something similar.
That is not him quitting. He's also said a million times he wouldn't quit, and as recently as last year it was said that any sale was conditional of him having the same role.
It's an amusing thing to think about, but I can't imagine Jerry's got any interest in buying some Limey Commie Grass Fairy team.
