I've thought since the appointment of Peter Charrington as a non-executive chairman that change was coming. The title non-executive chairman usually signifies someone with special skills in a particular area brought in by a corporation with a specific task in mind. With his background in banking, I would speculate his specific task would be managing a transition to a possible change in ownership or structure. In short, a change manager.

Wasn’t Charrington Lewis financial advisor ?

He’s clearly come in , seen that levy has cock blocked a few financial opportunities, investment etc while taking a tidy wage & the Lewis’s have had no dividends

They’ll be selling up or a big investors who want influence .

And for me he would deserve every penny!
Yes, he and Enic have frustrated over the past 2.5 decades and I for one have been critical of many of his actions, but ultimately if asked for a one word answer to the question....
Has Enic/Levy been good for THFC? Then I would with out a doubt say YES! To give any other answer would be dismiss the world class training centre and the build of the best stadium in the world and the commercial revenue and player attraction of both, which are the reasons we are the 9th riches club in the world and why we are likely to attract a multi-billionaire set-up to take us to the next level!
Levy's failure, or his excuse for failure, was to believe that financial fair play would constrain the largest clubs from the kind of spending we saw in this window. Maybe he believed it or maybe it was just an excuse not to increase payroll. Either way, we're in uncertain times for the support. With the kind of spending by the major clubs in this window, how long will it be until the Super League concept rears its ugly head again?
