Almost certainly taken off for a rest, he's been out for quite a while now. Whether he'll start on Sunday though is anyone's guess.
My hunch is that he was taken off so he could start on Sunday, we really need him
I'd love him to start. But at the same time if there's a risk he could cost us a goal because of a lack of fitness or get himself injured worse then it'd be best just to leave him out for one game.
Pretty sure the plan would have been to part play him with a view to him to starting on Sunday.
