Ex-Spurs Player Danny Rose

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Think you answer your own question ...

If he'd fucked off 3 or 4 years ago people would've been fuming with him and the club - true but that's because like Mod, Bale, Berbs, Walker he was an integral part of the starting eleven at the time.

Now he's just a leech taking a pay check and contributing nothing, so of course we want him out.

Is he being loyal to Spurs or to his bank account?

Totally agree that the first time he ran his mouth with the press Poch/Levy should have said, do that again and you're gone, then second time out he goes. We would have got top dollar and somebody else would have had the problems ... easy in hindsight and a lesson hopefully learned by the club.
Ferguson was never shy of getting shot of big name players when he smelt trouble

That's my point though...we want players to be loyal but only when it suits the club. It's their careers, I don't blame them for not being loyal, they're not fans. Can't have it all ways...'please don't leave Danny' becomes 'get the fuck out you cunt'. That's not loyalty so why should he have any?

We should've signed a pre nup.

Ooh, so many questions.
What is interesting or surprising in that?
and more importantly -
Please do explain WHO HAS HE BEEN LOYAL TO??
He went behind the clubs back to bitch and whine about the club to a fucking Sun. Like it was said "In the the last few years he has slagged off the fans, our transfer policy, the board, incoming players and players already here" and I would add that he was utterly ignorant and full of himself with conversations with Mourinho as well. So here you go - if you s*hit on the board, transfer policy, teammates and manager then you are NOT loyal. It is as clear as a day.

Absolutely no one here would want to get rid of him so badly if just things would not be going his way. If he would keep his head down and be a professional. No one would have taken his squad number away either. It is result of his decisions and he has only himself to blame.

And this is the reason why this piece of s*it should be flushed down as fast as possible. He has lost all of the respect as a player and all of the respect as personality. He is total liability and embarrasment. Club should have nothing to do with him in any shape or form.
I never said he was loyal, to be honest players and clubs are only loyal when it mutually suits them (Steve Perryman said this once when asked the question about why he never left Spurs).

It's the fans who talk about loyalty - I'm just pointing out that the player and the fans have both changed loyalties as it were - so should we demand it from players when a hero one minute is considered deadwood the next? We're not loyal to players, why should they be in return? It's their careers after all.

Danny was always a joker.

To be honest I don't really give a fuck and I'm not defending him, I just don't blame him for not moving on unless it suits him career and financially wise. And I do dislike the term deadwood, the club is ultimately responsible for the recruitment of players, they should be held to account when they make big fuck ups.

I don’t blame him for sticking to his guns on a contract that was agreed between him, the club & his agent. What I do object to is his whiny running off to tell teacher every time he doesn’t get his own way.
Going sniping to the Sun - unprofessional & unacceptable.
Telling Jose he was “going to speak to Daniel” because Jose wouldn’t entertain his ego - unprofessional & unacceptable.
He thinks he is a big fish in a little pond. He simply isn’t. Bloke behaves like a spoiled kid at times. It may be linked to MH issues, but he doesn’t present very well at all as a human being or professional when he repeatedly slates signings as needing googling and colleagues as “shit”

I hear you. I think this is where the club dropped a bollock mind you and should've been more decisive at the beginning.

Personally the spat he had with Jose I didn't really mind and I understood it. He played one game vs Liverpool, wasn't great and was instantly dropped again. I'd want an explanation and I wouldn't have been happy with Jose's non explanation either. Plus it shows he was desperate to play which must be a good thing no?

I think Rose was frozen out, probably under instruction from Levy, after his earlier comments. I think Jose used him in desperation vs Liverpool as we were so short (Tanganga's PL debut too, not the game I'd pick if I had options). Then he got frozen out again, went looking for an explanation and never really got one.

He's reactive and emotional for sure but I still think the club massively fucked up with him and could've dealt with it a whole lot better.
