The last time Eriksen played with Rose, Eriksen had one of his worst games in a Spurs shirt and was anonymous.
Rose wan NOT anonymous. He was front and center of the lens. Apart from when it came to defending the goal. Eriksen looked like a disaster with Rose. Partially at fault for not following the runner who got beyond the shuffling Rose with ease.
So Eriksen did the opposite of what he did on Sunday. That's the power of Rose. Throws Eriksen's potential under the bus.
IMO empty entertaining players like Lennon, Townsend, Bentley etc have caused the downfall of Spurs in the modern era. Players with no end product and questionable off the pitch antics poisoned this club.
That is why I am delighted the tide has turned. This season I get to watch a team that I would put out there. I'm seeing more of Kane, Dembele, Mason, Bentaleb, Davies, Dier, Jan, Toby and the bigger more reliable players being played over the old players like Soldado, Townsend, Lennon, Defoe's etc.
I don't post to hump somones leg like most of the people in this thread. I mean look at you. you are a classic example of why I post. Last year you were telling me I was wrong to back hardworking players like Kane. Now look at you. You're literally making up reasons as to why Rose is a bad player. There's nothing noble or Spurs about that. Your self-defeating arguments and biased opinion of a very good player for Spurs is not Spurs. If you truly loved the team, you wouldn't go out of your way to make arguments like the ones you've forged against Rose. He didn't press? We dropped points because he put in a motm performance? Eriksen scored two goals simply because he wasn't in the team? Gibbs you can't make up reasons to hate on a Spurs player and then claim to be Spurs.

I said Rose is a bad defender. Not a bad player. Yes he can tackle but he brings chaos. He was a winger. He has more than enough in his locker to make us almost impossible to break down on the wings.
He is really disappointing me with his final balls and deliveries this season but I still think playing him behind softer cerebral players like Eriksen is a terrible fit.
