Ex-Spurs Player Danny Rose

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

WAS one of my favourite players, but there is also a very strong argument that if he stays it would be very bad business. Why would we want him at the club? He has gone rouge, he's off message. He doesn't want to be here. He's undermined the manager, the squad and the Club as a whole.

He's a cancer, and cancers need to be removed.
Maybe we should want him because he is absoloute elite level LB, no way there are better alternatives within our reach available. He said what he said, but if he is still here after the windows closes and gives his all for the team, then those words are just bad history.
I am personally willing to forgive him, if he shows he deserves that.

I might be wrong here, but didnt Modric throw somekind of tantrum a year before he moved to Madrid? Wanted Chelsea move i think. Yet he played one more season for us, and was immense yet again.

I understand that, and to say he's gone down in my estimations would be a massive understatement. But, the club has to be pragmatic and, as far as possible, unemotional in its decision-making. In this case, it's a delicate balancing act.

This year is an important year for us. Our minimum goal, surely, is CL qualification and, in my view, we have a better chance of this with him than without. Unless we already have a high quality replacement lined up for this transfer window, I expect they'll sit down with him as planned and offer him a Modrić-type arrangement.

We had a soft manager back then. The mentality of this team has been built on the principles put in place by Poch. It doesn't matter who you are, how good you are if you cross the line you're done. This approach is more important when there is a scab in the squad, give into it because a player is good, may as well pack up and go home, utter waste of having the rules/expectations put in place.

If it was me (not my money) I wouldn't sell him, I'd keep him at the club, but never play him. I'm a vindictive bastard and it would please me if Rose's actions resulted in him miss out for England selection in the World Cup, the thought of his actions are to be rewarded with a mega deal makes my blood boil. I want to see his actions have a negative effect on his career, not a positive one. (obviously for the club getting top dollar for a want away cunt would help us). Fuck him.

Was considering getting Rose on my shirt this year, how much I loved him. Utter betrayal, fuck him. Don't sell though. Let him rot. He can go next season. Stick the World Cup up your arse.

Mate that's weak as shit, if we bend we've just created a rod for own back. people shitting themselves that we will lose all of our players, no faster way of losing our players than giving into Rose. If we don't stand tall on this every single agent will be knocking on the door the next day. He has to be dealt with and we have to be uncompromising.

He's been good for the last couple of seasons when he's not been injured. But he's played an average of 1830 mins per season the last two seasons. 2028 mins on avg the last five seasons. That equates to just under 60% of the time, meaning he plays about 22.5 games per year.

Maybe we'd been better off with someone a little less injury prone, even if he's not quite as good as Rose?

Maybe we were already better off with Davies? Stats from last season suggests we were.

When he's a cunt that pisses on our club, manager, fans and fellow players, wants out, wants higher wages, may unsettle other players, is injured for about 40% of the time, we are more effective without him and we can get £50m for him I say:

Sell the cunt!

Losing Walker and Rose in the same window, would be bad business in my opinion.

In all honesty, we may have little choice with them both turning their back on the club. I personally think we should keep him, get Sessegnon and in 12 months ship him off to Man U.

I sincerely hope that Poch has seen what can happen and will continuously invest in the finest youth talent so that when one of our players loses it, we are constantly covered with someone chomping at the bit.

I bet he's bitterly disappointed at how weak Danny has been in all of this. Him And Walker ran the risk of disrupting the family feel to our club which stood us out from the rest last year. Use him for 12 months, get his replacement in now and then banish him to the past/ history books.

The only way we should even consider selling him now is if they give us Martial in return. Purely the best interests of the club now please

I'm not sure what you're advocating. Either of the three main options - 1. keep, 2. sell now, 3. agree to sell next year - has a downside. I agree none of them are good, but sometimes you just have to choose the least bad.

For me, that's option 3.

Sell him and then two foot the bastard when he plays against us. Thick cunt. He's singlehandedly made the club a target for journalistic swipes with transfer speculation.

Unleash Eric Dier on Rose if he has the balls to face us after leaving us.

He can't play for us again.
As regards to how it's dealt with, I trust the actions of Poch and the Club will be right for the good of team and Club.
