Ex-Spurs Player Danny Rose

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

£3m a year salary.
But I’m willing to bet Danny is a case of money can’t buy you happiness. He seems pretty introspective at the best of times.

Wonder where he will end up once he’s a free agent.....

The unfortunate thing for Danny is that because he runs off to his mates at The Sun every 5mins putting the boot in on Spurs, other clubs have seen this, and clearly thought that as good as he might be, they don't want that potential aggro and bad influence around.

He doubles down on this in the Amazon doc with his "I'm going to speak to Daniel" comment to Mourinho. What manager wants to sign some prick who says he's going to go over his head and speak to the chairman.

No one, thats who.

He isnt going to go to Portugal. Can’t see him playing outside of England personally. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sits at home taking money for a year then retires.

Don't disagree. In fact he was on record at one stage of saying that he'd be happy to do exactly that.

There were a few claims that a few clubs, including Porto, were interested and if so that IMO would be best for both player and club - player as actually he's too young to retire.

The Window in Portugal closes today

Nope - 25 October

West Ham United midfielder Felipe Anderson is expected to join Porto on a season-long loan deal on Tuesday.

Although the transfer window closed for English clubs signing players from abroad on Monday, the window in Portugal is open until 25 October.

If no one wants him after the last window closes just pay up the rest of he's contact, he won't be able to join anyone til January then anyway.

He should have got himself a loan deal at least. Hanging around like a bad smell for a year is a shit option for him and us.
He has no interaction with the first team at all, if he wants to train with the U23s, change with them and eat with them that’s fine. He made a deafening noise about wanting to play and by turning down all these moves he has made himself look a right twat.

If no other solution is found he will have his contract paid up and his contract terminated.
There is only negative value in having such a pathetic wank around. Get him as far from the club as possible.

It's interesting how we detest it when players we like and rate leave (Mod, Bale, Berbs, Walker) and demand their loyalty but when the ones we don't like don't leave we treat them with vitriolic contempt.
Does loyalty not work both ways? Or do we only want the 'good' players to be loyal?

For the record it's clear and has been for some time he's no future at Spurs but I won't condemn him for not fucking off to clubs he feels are not right for him (not sure who they are). If he'd fucked off 3 or 4 years ago people would've been fuming with him and the club.

I think the club got this badly wrong and should've looked to replace him when the first whiff of trouble started and his stock was very high. Rose is Rose, it was up to the management (Poch and Levy) to deal with him. Good luck to him wherever he ends up, he was with us a very long time and had some very good years.

Ooh, so many questions.
What is interesting or surprising in that?
and more importantly -
Please do explain WHO HAS HE BEEN LOYAL TO??
He went behind the clubs back to bitch and whine about the club to a fucking Sun. Like it was said "In the the last few years he has slagged off the fans, our transfer policy, the board, incoming players and players already here" and I would add that he was utterly ignorant and full of himself with conversations with Mourinho as well. So here you go - if you s*hit on the board, transfer policy, teammates and manager then you are NOT loyal. It is as clear as a day.

Absolutely no one here would want to get rid of him so badly if just things would not be going his way. If he would keep his head down and be a professional. No one would have taken his squad number away either. It is result of his decisions and he has only himself to blame.

And this is the reason why this piece of s*it should be flushed down as fast as possible. He has lost all of the respect as a player and all of the respect as personality. He is total liability and embarrasment. Club should have nothing to do with him in any shape or form.

Have to agree with that. A real shame as all the above will overshadow the great performances he has put in over the years

I don’t really have a problem with players leaving for bigger teams.

Sure, it fucks me off, but at the end of the day, I’d leave my current job if someone offers to pay me more, and footballers would do the same.

With Rose it’s not about loyalty and TheSpurEst explained it pretty well so no need to say it again.

He’s been saying he wants to go back up north, I really don’t know what’s holding him back other than trying to screw us in, and for what? Not playing him every game?
