Have you watched Dier in the league lately fella? Been quality. We've only conceded 5 goals in the league and 3 were penalties and 2 of those were travestys.

Yes I have and he has been weak. Luckily for him against Newcastle they did not attempt going forward and United did very little going forward either.

He has a long history of sucking and showing he isn't good enough. Not sure that a few games when he was rarely under pressure, and the one time he was he couldn't deal with a high ball, should have the team ignore the numerous dog shit games he has had.

This is the first time in forever that we dont need to still be looking for players on deadline day too much. Finally levy learnt to complete homework on time.

The biggest issue our backline has right now is that Dier is considered the #1 CB option. So unless we bring in two new guys we are always going to be crap at the back because Dier will just be paired with the new guy and I doubt the new guy is going to be able to play at a top level and carry Dier as well.

The easiest improvement to our backline would be to drop Dier and go with Toby and Sanchez. It wouldn't be ideal but it would be a massive upgrade on playing Dier every game.

As long as Dier is picked as a CB we will continue to have a poor backline defensively.
Dier is full of mistakes , as is Sanchez. But also Dier + Toby would be too slow so Toby+Sanchez is what we should go with.
