Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As excellent as he can be on his day (working hard, quality passes etc), he can also be utter dogshite some games...that was the case yesterday and another couple times this season like vs Palace. Almost like it's not the same player, Jekyll & Hyde type stuff.

Weird thing is, it's not just that he doesn't perform, it's that he looks angry and up for picking fights with the opposition & ref. Just strange behaviour and makes me re-think the idea he should be captain/vice.

Re last night - yeah yeah yeah he was 50 yards away, but still no excuse for that miss, that was poor but symbolic of his cameo (and our squad's performance). He's on his favoured left leg, nobody's charging him...and the goal's wide friggin open. Simply has to score but then again a 3-2 loss was already massively flattering us.
Lol@no excuse for that type of chance.

Utter bollocks.

Say what? My post was about how he can be poor the odd game...but excellent the majority. Where did I say he didn't run, where did I attack his off the ball contribution? You'll actually find plenty other posts where I praised the kid for his work ethic, never stop attitude, hard running etc. Doesn't change the fact that he can have a shocker now & then and produce very little, on and/or off the ball.

Again, I'm one of the first to say it. Whole point was that he can have a rubbish game, like last night or vs Palace (where he just looked to get sent off) and that in an ideal world he wouldn't, cause the drop off from great Kulu to bad Kulu is significant...and when he's not on it, we tend to get murdered. Kid has that much impact on our overall performance.
Fair enough mate. Sorry if I jumped the gun.

I don't think its a Kulusevski issue though. Them games where he has played poorly has always been when the whole team is off it. He can get frustrated and lunges into stupid tackles, but part of me admires that about him though (Lamela vibes).

No probs, brother.

Course it ain't a Kulu issue. Kid is a bright spot, as are Sarr (lately) and big Dom since he's joined. There aren't many others.

Big issues are obvious...the coach, his stubbornness, his system that works wonders in the minor leagues but not the majors, his lack of elite knowledge. And his bosses, especially the main jeffe.

For sure we ain't out of it in the league (despite 4 L's in 10), we're at home to Utd in the quarters of the Carabao and we've won 3 & lost just once in the EL...some wanna think we're having a super season, that's fine, each to their own. Me, and they can call me a gooner/not a true Spurs fan/negative Nancy or whatever else, I'm a realist and perfectionist and I look at the big picture, I don't forget all our glaring holes cause we beat City's B-team and an out-of-sorts Villa (after we struggled mightily to beat proper giants like Coventry, Qarabag, Ferencvaros and AZ). I also don't forget we're an insanely rich club and that settling for top 4 plus "would be extra swell already to make a domestic or European final" is actually a pitiful lack of ambition and openly playing into Levy's hand.

All legit concerns but you just have to hope and pray that it'll be different this time! I know all logic makes you think the most likely scenario is this team will fail just like all the other exciting teams we had over the year. But as football fans, ignorance is bliss sometimes and its alot more fun thinking we could be onto something and might surprise a few people this season!

Whole team was poor today. I didn't think Kulu was especially poor- certainly not the worst player on our team, and by about 3-4 players at least too.

We're bad because of shit coaching and tactics- not this one player.

1 good game 1 bad etc. Personifies this club as a player if I'm honest. Good on his day but balances out to average due to the amount of poor displays he puts in.

He’s nothing special. The wanking over him from the usual clowns any time he has an assist is a bit nauseating but entirely predictable.

We should just accept this is his level. A decent player at times but nowhere near the unique talent our resident fanboys try to pretend he is.

We’re not bad because of him but the hyperbole about him was absolutely insane. I’ll admit that he’s better than I thought but he’s just as inconsistent as the rest of them.

He’s not top level and never will be. Just a decent player who has had a few good matches this season.

All that it takes for Shadydan Shadydan & co to start acting like the Ballond’or nominations to come flooding in.

at least kulu i think would be good in a proper system with players who can actually play a bit too. whats he meant to do out there? he cant get any decent stuff going with either wingers. theres a few moments he and solanke link up but thats all hes got to work with in front of him thats on the same sort of wave length. son and johnson as the width in a system like this is ridiculous. KDB from years ago would struggle with that shit to play with.

i dont think we should even be using a system with 2 wingers with the squad we have, we dont have the quality out wide to waste 2 players out there. would be better off going for something different.

Have you posted on all the other individual player threads yet to cunt out the ones that really, especially deserve it yet?

I don't see you dishing out your criticism even-handedly and see that as unfair on Kulu. That is all.

There’s no fun to be had in their threads as most of the other shit cunts don’t have evangelical cultists claiming them to be genius love children of Modric and Dembele, you post “they’re shit” and everyone just nods.
