It would be one thing to be physically slow if your decision making and timing was fast.

It is basically a death sentence to be both mentally and physically slow as a winger.

He'll be here next season because of bergvall. So he's got another season with European games to sort himself out.

But that performance was almost self sabotage. If Eze was in all the space kulu was in today we'd have won by 5

Helped us get top 4 when he initially came in

He's just not good as a 1v1 winger in this system, he'd be fine with a continuous overlap outside of him.

He really does struggle without a FB drawing defenders away.... Numerous times today Porro & Skip just stopped so as to maintain the inside right/left position (as coached) when Kulu would have benefited from a decoy run or the additional outlet to pass to.

the drop off in quality from when he first came and was tearing it up is actually quite mad. maybe its true that he has been sussed now and he hasnt added weapons to his game to cope with it.

one thing i have noticed is that when he actually does go to hit the byline, he does it with ease. they are only occupied with him cutting in, he needs to be hitting the byline so much more and working on his right foot.

He is physically slower because he is mentally slow.

If you watch him really sprint he is not really slow. Wingers need to time their runs and moves correctly and make little moves to put the defenders off balance. Mahrez wasn’t really that fast but he was a great winger.

He just needs to be sharper and quicker mentally.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to train a slow brain to get faster.
