He was terrible tonight, made some eye catching runs and then pissed it away pretty much every time. Pulled out of a tackle towards the end of the first half too. That's not acceptable. He's not a midfielder, Berg and Biss were excellent tonight as midfielders, Kulu wasn't even close.

He's a nearly player - nearly plays the right ball, nearly controls it, nearly makes the tackle - and yeah sometimes he does but he's incredibly inconsistent and when's he's bad he's fucking terrible.

Not the point you think you're making.

Every fucking player suffers from it and has dips of form over entire seasons.

It's only a very very few that don't.

Before you or others acxuse me of comparing them for their levels, obviously Salah is one of the best players in the world.... but even he went off the boil massively post AFCON and subsequent imjury last season, scoring just 3 in his last 9 games.... for reference he scored 14 in the first 19 of the season. I watched him plenty.... he looked knackered and was not playing well at all.
