I tend to agree w/ that...........What options did AVB have exactly ? I was just fine w/ the starting 11 when i saw it..........

Maybe roll w/ Dembele over Huddlestone & Dawson over Caulker......But with a game on Wednesday, he rolled the dice w/ the rotation clearing wanting to give both of them a rest would make sense.

Exactly. I was glad to see Dembele get some rest with his injury record anyway. He needs rest every so often. It is just a shame that Huddlestone can no longer put in a semblance of a shift there.

Defence was shocking. Benoits through ball near the end was sexual. Big toms, flick over the defender and volley was beautiful too. The worst thing though is i dont even feel surprised. somehow just knew this was going to happen. I was over it before we'd even kicked off.

I didnt even hurt much actually.Lets concentrate on the league now.
Yeah, I have to say that I feel the same.

I know people say that trophies are better than fourth. But statistics show that if you become a CL regular then there is a much greater likelihood that you will compete more strongly in the cups. Something like 85% of the FA Cups won since the CL started have been won by top four sides. I'd rather be patient, work on becoming that and then celebrate when we are strong enough that days like today are occurances that happen only once every five years or so.

Plus, we still have the EL.

Much rather have what we have than be a team like Newcastle, who might have a good cup or league run once in a while, but are otherwise engaged in shittness and mid-table/relegation fights.

Caulks was really off the boil yesterday, had to be saved by Verts on a number of occasions, but to be fair we didn't go into yesterday thinking we'd be done on the counter. I wondered if we were actually playing Woolwich, the way they were cutting us open.

Still the defeat hurts and I spent nine hours on a bus yesterday to be in the office for nine today. Waaah :klinsmann:

This was pretty shit all round, especially stood in the fucking North Stand. Heard the dirty twats doing the gas chamber hiss a fair few times.

Yorkshire police are wankers. Took all my details, even my fucking client reference number, being reported to Tottenham for what I have no idea, the Spurs steward wearing the blue vest told me to just accept it and get on with it or I could get 3 game ban. Utter shite. Also Yorkshire Copper grabbed me and told me to shut up and stop swearing or theyll eject me from the ground all whilst allowing the big geezas to carry on.

That makes me smile. Same sort of thing happened to me at Birmingham once. So I called his bluff told him to fuck off and do one. 4000 other Yids here standing and singing what are they going to do arrest and eject us all?

Escorted by two policemen from the ground and photo taken and put on police database.........

:avbfacepalm:

Aw, how sweet of them to commemorate Holocaust remembrance day.... and there was me thinking they'd forgotten!

Good to see that such behaviour is rewarded with a win. They've clearly taken the example set by Chelsea fans for the past 20 years!!!

They were useless yesterday, asked one how to get to the ground walking, he said 'follow that guy' who was sauntering at a rate that a tortoise would be proud of. Ended up just weaving my way in.

Then after the game I was stopped and told I shouldn't walk through Holbeck on the way back, and why the hell not? Don't fucking punish me, an away fan on my own, for other fans giving it the big one. Got heckled as expected but it's not a warzone.

I'm gutted we are out of the cup, seriously. But I honestly didn't think it was our year, I didn't have that gut feeling I have had other years. Admittedly we didn't win in those years either, but it's not as gut wrenching this way. It also means we can focus our limited squad on more vital battles like finishing fourth, or at the very least above Woolwich.

Our squad is deceptively light weight at the moment, we look like we have a strong, deep squad full of international quality, but we don't. We are light in many areas. If we get Champions League in the Summer we are going to have to strengthen the squad big time or we are going to struggle to keep up the pace.

They were cutting us open by hoofing it clear and getting a lucky run on the ball, or hoofing it clear and getting a lucky bounce instead of intended flick on...

It was proper route 1 stuff. Frustrating that something so simple was our undoing, especially considering we have actually been looking reasonably solid.

The issue wasnt even that though, it was our complete lack of gumption from kick off. We didnt want to be there are didnt even try.

Leeds were affording us so much time and space, we would have spanked them at a canter if we just gt our shit together and went into 1st gear.
