Player Djed Spence

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The mob have gone from writing Djed off too soon to writing Tel off too soon.

Rinse and repeat
Djed's had more than twice the amount of PL games in the 24/25 season with us - it makes sense...

IF Tel can prove himself like Djed (which I hope he does) then fine he'll shut up the haters - the only person that can shut up their critics are the players themsevles.

We are forgetting they're two different players in two different positions!

Tel's expectation is a LOT higher than Djed's due to the fact Tel's a forward...it's understandable...Tel's realm is playmaking to field or fuel goals - Djed's to defend them...

Weirdly Djed has sored 2 goals where Tel has scored 3 for us in that season, also Djed has 3 assists & Tel has 2 for the same 24/25 season for those who love stats, I do not!

It's about impact on the game which Djed has done better at!

This man is fast becoming one of my favourite English Footballers - Also my Mum fancies him...

I guess you have a special enough relationship with your mom that she is open with you about this sort of thing?

This is a truly terrible take. Please think carefully about what you are comparing before making a comparison.

I'm not making the bloody comparison...

"We are forgetting they're two different players in two different positions!"

Then I said their G/A Stats which I myself don't are about...

"for those who love stats, I do not!"

I said which is a 'take' is :-

"It's about impact on the game which Djed has done better at!"

Which makes perfect sense since again I stated :-

"Djed's had more than twice the amount of PL games in the 24/25 season with us - it makes sense..."

Anything factually incorrect of what I've said which I caveated within the 24/25 season???

Its a fact that players who train well are more likely to play. Maybe that's what was missing that meant he wasn't played by multiple managers.

He also he has this chill, laconic way about him that might be intepreted as NGAF, when in fact its just his demeanour.

Always knew Spence had the talent and skills. It was disgrace how Conte didn't rate him.
Coz he was turning up late.

In the same way Bissouma was dropped by TF for turning up late.

You earn 10's, if not, 100's of thousands a week and you can't be bothered to turn up on time.

Poor attitude. Djed did it to himself, no one else. Same as Bissouma.

So does it make TS a disgrace for dropping Bissouma for exactly the same reason?

What's the source for this?

Just coz you like it, doesn't make it BS.

We hear all the time that players have poor attitudes, that are not printed in papers etc.

Some players working hard, and exciting, sometimes we hear when they are being lazy fucks.

It is what it is.

You've just made it up, clearly.

All you're doing now is parroting utter bollocks which is the narrative you're desperate to pursue but you make it so obvious you're lying to everyone and lying to yourself but carry on, this is hilarious.

What for? Djed? Good luck with that it's 3/4 years old... Never gonna find it. Twas buried in various forums.

The TF and Bissouma was buried in a few posts on this forum.
It's another source less narrative that you can choose to believe or not. You but somw of us DON'T. Its also a very common trope with certain types of people 🤔 Which of itself would make me very uncomfortable to simply repeat it without actual proof.

I know the training videos are promotional and not necessarily reflective of actual training performance, but I remember when Djed first arrived there were several videos that showed him dominating 1 v 1s. In fact, I vividly recall some posters suggesting perhaps he should be playing as a winger instead.

What probably happened is that Cunte worked hard to destroy the kid’s confidence. It probably affected his demeanor and attitude on the pitch.

On some of the above discussion, it doesn't take much memory or digging to recall that Djed had a difficult time on loan at Leeds, initially intended as a 2023/24 season-long loan. He suffered an injury problem, playing 7 games, and was sent back by Leeds to us in January. Farke, speaking generally about the kind of players he wanted at the time, made indirect but nonetheless pointed hints about issues related to "professionalism", "discipline", and "workload on and off the pitch". The Athletic also reported there were occasions when he was late for training and team meetings. Apparently Spurs then determined to sell him.

But the lad turned it around, possibly with the help of his god, and great credit must be given to him and, indeed, Ange and his team last season.
