I watched a training video during Ange's first few weeks at the club and Djed was taking the piss.
But, who cares about the past?
Right now he is an excellent football player who could become elite.
Hope he gets the chance to rotate with Porro at RB once Udogie is fit.
He’s been superb, but I still don’t love starting a fullback on the side that isn’t their natural foot.
Part of me wonders if Spence and Udogie shouldn’t be our first choice fullbacks. Porro is super consistent but Djed and Destiny are next level athletically.

Udogie needs to win the shirt back first
Half baked hypothesis: part of Spence's defensive dominance is down to right wingers not being accustomed to playing against right-footed LB's. Crosses them up like facing a southpaw in boxing.
Great dilemma to have. Thats the sort of competition for places and strength in depth we need. I know what u mean though, Spence has been so impressive on the left that it would be nice to see him get a run of games on the right to see how good he really can be. Porro offers so much as well though. Fantastic stuff.
porro is a far better footballer than the pair of them. the balance at the minute in the back 4 is spot on.
Not sure I agree with respect to Djed. Porro a much better passer and has a banger in his locker, but not far better as a footballer.
Djed needs a consistent run at RB linking up with Kudus - that right side would be locked down defensively and rapid in offensive transition.
Porro has more in his all round game and is a better footballer, Djed excels at 1v1 defending above anyone in the squad and arguably the best in the league but going forward he lacks a little.
Also think he's a better LB than RB
I’m thinking that Spence is better than Udogie facing inverted right wingers whereas Udogie will be better defensively against traditional right wingers. I imagine that Spence would be a nightmare for Kulu in training!
I love that Spence gives us an option at both RB and LB with different qualities to Udogie and Porro. This is the type of solution to the opposition that TF loves and will pick horses for courses.
I would like Spence to eventually take over for Porro as a starter. He’s much better defensively. And needs game time to hone crossing with his right.
That’s a bit strong daveyboy. Better right foot than Spence yes. Spence better in everything except ball striking imo
This is true. Djed is perfect against the current trend of having inverted wingers.

spence doesnt have a better touch than porro, hes not as clean on the ball, hes not anywhere near as good at crossing. hes a better defender and all off the ball stuff yes.
Unlucky to be hooked yesterday, thought he had a great game, you could see he had the hump , can’t blame him for that
No problem subbing him out - he makes a lot of demanding runs forwards and back.
Hes our only defender that can cover left and right back and we should keep him healthy.
Was he not also already booked? Why run the risk of him grabbing Bowens shirt and getting sent off. Just pointless! Plus Udogie needs minutes to get sharp so what better chance against a team who had already quit trying
