Player Djed Spence

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Unlucky to be hooked yesterday, thought he had a great game, you could see he had the hump , can’t blame him for that
There's no need ... He'll play Tuesday, and if not Tuesday, next weekend.... Or the following Wednesday, or the Weekend after....
There's. plenty of games to go round...

3-0 up, we DON'T need anything unnecessary at the point, and Udogie needs game time...

I'm sure Frankie will tell him to RELAX!

I would play Spence LB over Udogie. Not like Spence is so much better, but I find Udogie decision making in the final third atrocious. But I feel after Spence got into the national squad, he regresses slightly.

Porro's RB is his. He has to start. Incredible Frank rested him at only GW 6.

At this moment, good that he is, I dont think he should replace Porro or Udogie.

Understand the rotation done by Frank to play him ahead of Porro, but for now, a stint on the bench would benefit the team more.

We have 3 FBs at PL level, Frank needs to rotate all 3 just to keep them fit. None of them can be afforded a stint on the bench because FBs have to cover so much ground.

But I agree, after yesterday, Porro and Udogie are clearly our 2 best FBs

Spence will never be a top player cos he thinks he’s much better than he is , he switches off too much and you can see why he frustrates his managers . Like Udogie he has all the attributes to be a top attacking full back but unfortunately neither have the brain .

Great defense and decent offense. The one thing I notice though is how horrendously one-footed he is- I don't think I saw a single touch he made or attempted with his left-foot in that entire reel!

Regardless of how you feel about Porro, Djed will need an opportunity to start at RB regularly at Spurs (1 out of 2 games on average) in order to be able to grow into that position and style of FB play. I feel like he is in danger of being type-cast as a left-back, kind of growing himself into that mold, which, while effective, would limit his overall ceiling as a footballer, especially if he never develops his left-foot.

Congrats to him for getting the England start, however. I personally love Djed and hope he can push on onwards and upwards in his career.
