Er, that's exactly what we don't want.
We want him full of confidence banging them in, not worrying about every chance and snatching shots panicking that if he doesn't score a goal he's out.

I'd just go with fucking frustrating.
People often deride the concept of luck; but it's a hell of a lot more plausible than curses or evil forces being at play.
(Don't know of a swift way to check; but I'd bet we weren't the only club to lose a starter on opening day.)

Honestly I feel like it's the late 90s again where we can't keep a fit squad to save our lives.
