Match Doncaster [H] 19:45 wed 24-09-2025 League Cup 3rd Round

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Kolo Muani played about 15 mins v Villareal for about 15 mins, not looking completely fit (hadn't played since June when he played for Juventus inn World Club Cup and hardly had a preseason with PSG) so although he might have recovered from a 'dead leg' I can't see him playing more than about 30 mins v Doncaster as he ramps up his fitness.

Odobert played as a 10 a few times for Burnley and did so for Spurs last season once or twice.

So to rest as many players as possible, we could have a forward line of :

Johnson, Odobert, Tel
Scarlett
I'd also have Sarr in CM as he can run forward into opposition box almost as a false 10 (Odobert too lightweight to do that)- so complete team

Kinsky
Spence, Romero, Danso, Davies
Sarr, Gray Davies
Johnson, Odobert, Tel
Scarlett

Subs : Austin, and 8 other players from Porro, Udogie, Van de Ven, , Palhinha, Bentancur, Bergvall, Simons, Kolo Muani, Kudus, Richarlison - maybe Takai as well ?

Spurs u21's play Plymouth in Vertu Ttophy (ex EFL Trophy) on Tuesday evening, so we will know then if any of the best u21's are possibly rested to play Doncaster, although I doubt it

Assuming they are fit Danso and Davies will start as our CB's.

Tel up top and Odobert, Johnson on the wings, with Gray in midfield likely with Sarr and Bentancur.

Go strong.

Have youth on the bench.

Not sure Frank has wholesale changes in him thankfully. We need to get out of this mentally that certain games are 'weaker' or 'easier'.

And I want another trophy so don't fuck this up boys!

I would go with line up, considering it is Doncaster, and we should really have enough to see us through.

Porro ---- Danson ---- Davies ----Udogie

Gray -------- Sarr

Tel -- WTF didn't keep a youth AM like Devine -- Odobert

Muani

F*cking Levy leaving us short in the creative AM department, just loaning them all out despite having to massive injuries and then leaving Xavi to play ever single fecking game as a 10, until one comes back.

I like eating fish but I have never in my life wanted or eaten a sandwich with fish in it.
The thought does not revolt me but it certainly does not inspire me.
A prawn is not a fish it's a crustacean

Your aspirations are safe

Try kippers on toast, it's an open sandwich, but might help you to reach the nirvana of a full blown Tuna Sandwich.

I'm rooting for you

(Australians please ignore, I'm not a pervert!)

We start with a B team and Sarr, struggle enormously for no obvious reason, then bring on Dane Scarlett and he grabs his annual goal. Some of us miss it because we're bored and doom scrolling. But we thank him and type things like 'proper Spurs 🥇' whilst wondering when the siblings are going to sell him to Millwall. The game ends, we think 'thank fuck for that' then those of us at home in the uk claim the lost evening hours by watching Netflix until 1am and proper visiting fans accumulate further excessive tau-proteins in the brain from lack of sleep.

This is the way.
