ENIC In or ENIC Out

Lewis doesn't even like football or let alone Spurs besides as a long term profitable asset.
Our Enic model is not competitive to sustain any success if any . It always fails . Every final /semi against a Elite team with depth , Spurs have been outclassed, poor , lackluster and beaten easily.
They have no answers , we are stuck and soon top 4 will be out of reach. The rise of Newcastle is another death nail in the Enic coffin. It is just coming round quicker.
The Chavs sold for a huge price considering that their infrastructure is from the dark ages .
It was their remarkable football success that boosted that enormous price not a shit ground.
Even Woolwich seemed better run than us but that is coming from a low level. If they win the league it will be a total disaster for us . If we scrape top 4 it means nothing. Legacy fans will feel that pain overwhelming.
A major concern is Levy/Enic know so little about football, not to understand that Spurs was built on flowing attractive football and then appointing defensive, turgid managers.
The stadium hasn't done a lot for the team . We seem less competitive since and haven't touched an outside title challenge. Many believed it would be a game changer but under Enic it will never be .
Everybody has upped their game and we are gradually in a slight decline that Enic can't do anything about under their football philosophy.
They are just not good enough to run our club.

Sometimes I do wonder what position we would be in under ENIC had Harry not come through and become the player he is today. They lucked out big time. Mostly failed to capitalise on that luck mind you. Does anyone really realistically see them being able to replace Lloris, Son and Kane adequately? I don't. I think it's only backwards from here on out.

Well I'd say it was more the luck that poch turned out better than anyone connected to the club could've imagined.
Turned an often mid table club that sometimes flirts with 6th to a genuine top 4 club which greatly contributed to the new stadium

I've seen enough, I do want these lot out now. I thank them for poch, the stadium and training ground but ironically that stuff has made it more embarrassing that we don't have any success

Ah fuck it.

ENIC out.
Happy Pumped Up GIF by AT&T

the season before poch joined the club they finished 6th. the 4 years before that is was 5th twice and 4th twice..thats not a mid table club
Hence flirted with top 6, the prem as been around for 30 seasons or so and we finished top six 4 times out of 30? What about the other 24 times

I'd say that's a bit of a nothing mid table club like west ham . Only post poch is it expected Spurs finish near the top

yea the clubs massively underachieved in the premier league era. but to say poch was the one who turned it all around when in the 5 years before he joined they finished 6th once, 4th twice and 5th twice. 5 years is a long time.

No they are not good enough, but to get them to listen, it would need supporters to not go to games leaving half empty or more stadia.
The club does not listen to the Tottenham trust, they just patronise anyone that tries to speak out.

Also if they hadn’t hired Pochettino, who was the biggest luck out of their entire 20 odd years owning us, where would we be now?

Hell, Levy didn’t even want Poch initially! He only went for him because LvG shafted us and joined Manure.

The more that see the light the better. For all the talk & arguing, the Proof is on the pitch. We peaked under enic years ago. & others are over taking us. We are declining.
The optimistic enic/levy fans have been proven wrong again.

It’s the missed opportunities. They blew it with Poch where we had an incredible 11 and didn’t add to it….. they got a second chance with Conte who has some excellent players and also some shite and again, not done enough.

Do you think Lewis and Levy have mobilised a 24/7 ‘war room’ to get the club back on track and deliver a successful January? Or are the pair of disgraceful spivs busy burning £50 notes in the Bahamas, quaffing champagne and chuckling to themselves at our expense?

You forgot debating which new art piece to throw 30 million at.

The football transfer stuff comes at the end, when they’re pissed on champagne. At that point they’re just discussing how funny it would be to give Dier a new contract and if we didn’t sign a new right back.

I'm not a fan of or an apologist for ENIC or Levy but to understand how Spurs supporters have been initially saddled with ENIC and then continually accepted their methods, like a battered housewife, you have to look back to what was happening to the club from about 1995 - 2001 when they arrived.

What ENIC have done better than the previous incumbent is to achieve consistently higher league finishes and points totals.

A Europa League qualification is the modern equivalent of winning the League Cup in the 70's, 80's and early 90's.

A Champions League, (top 4), qualification is the modern equivalent of winning the F.A. Cup.

The lack of any European competitions was the big issue when ENIC arrived. It brings in increased revenue.

Their mission statement was to secure regular Champions League qualification and increase the WHL capacity to 44,000, within five years. NOTHING ELSE WAS PROMISED

It took ENIC five years to secure qualification for what is now the Europa League, through a 5th placed league finish, which should have been 4th, but for the lasagne, and then 10 years to get to the Champions League.

The increased WHL capacity of 44,000 was never achieved. Instead a season ticket waiting list was implemented and the cost of season tickets increased season upon season, while cup matches and other benefits were withdrawn from season ticket holders. This policy eventually morphed into the stubhub debacle which effectively legitimised the practise of ticket touting. These were the issues that led to me giving up my season ticket.

I blame a guy called Mark Jacob and his Tottenham Action Group for landing us with ENIC.

I blame The Supporters Trust for being complicit with ENIC in the exploitation of club members and season ticket holders throughout ENIC's tenure at the club.

Abramovich made Levy a 'silly offer' for Spurs which was turned down before Abramovich bought Chelsea.

Imagine Tottenham today having won all the trophies Chelsea did under Abramovich; without Chelsea having the period of trophy success.

Agreed. Those chances were there for the taking & didn’t require much. But they weren’t willing to put in what it took to get us over the line. Then to not learn from those mistakes :bergwijnconfused: .

nice balanced post. enic have not been a success but they also havent been a complete failure. the club has been really unlucky, the introduction of these billionaires using rivals for sportswashing has obviously fucked us. the rule of only 4 clubs in the CL the year chelsea fluked it fucked us. the blatant cheating at old trafford when mendes scored from the halfway line fucked us for europe that year i believe?

its actually unbelievable that the club have managed to build a billion pound stadium off the back of no success. that shows what a true organic giant of a club it is. the foundations are set now, its time to push on. the stadium is massive for the future.

Yep and Redknapp. January 2012 we had a decent shot at the title. Saha and Ryan Nelson arrived, enough said. We were in such a position of strength in May this year, top 4, Conte, stadium done and full and started ok in the market and then basically stopped. Didnt get a first team RWB, didnt improve centre back and didnt get a decent keeper or another playmaker. Should be 3 strikes and you're out.
