It definitely didn't make it sound like he didn't.

It's also another story that shows how poor Levy is at choosing his staff.

Imagine if you have got yourself in the kind of bind where you need to make your decisions between a clown that wants to sell Kane for 600k and Sherwood who hadn't coached a game in his life?
Let's look at the facts as reported by Sherwood;

1) Levy wanted to sell Kane.
2) Sherwood said no, keep him.
3 ) Levy got the DoF in to also say sell Kane.
4 ) Again Sherwood said no, keep him.

Who's judgement did Levy back ?

A) His own
B) The DoF
Or
C) Sherwood

I don't think that story from Sherwood reflected bad on Levy. In the full video Sherwood refused to pin blame on him either.

The problem in that video is that Sherwood and Baldini were in the story in the first place. That IS levy's responsibility and if he really wants to get out of the mess he's in and survive as Chairman, he could start with looking at why he keeps surrounding himself with pillocks and the culture that he's built of blaming them every time something goes wrong.

Agreed, but that wasn't my point as you are well aware.

My point is that this is clear evidence of Levy, once again, backing his manager's decisions.

Most managers speak well of Levy after they leave.

If it was just that he was shit to work for, that would probably be an easier fix.

The problem is that he's not a good chairman of a football team. Hard to argue he hasn't been a good chairman of a football club, the infrastructure has improved massively.

Does he care enough to change and win? or does he still believe he's in the right and it's always been someone else's fault?

Even the recent statement about wrong decisions to bring in Jose and Conte to try and win...didn't sound like he bothered to work out why they didn't win here, just that he shouldn't have brought them in.

After 20 odd years they should know better by now and we should not be in this position with so little to show for it. Don't tell me we'd of been any worse off if we'd of stayed at white Hart Lane.

I reckon Kane would have moved on if there was no new stadium.

We will never know. We are where we are. The stadium is world class. The club was performing consistently higher than it had in decades.

See if levy can earn his £££s and put the club back on track. Chasing big name manager success hasn’t worked. (Not selling players hasn’t worked either).

Back to our DNA please. Be nice to see an attacking spurs team with flair.

How do you define a world class stadium? The atmosphere is embarrassing and probably the worst in the world and hampers the players

*Sigh*

Again, not my point.

Evidence 1

"Spence is an investment of the club. The club wanted to do it. I said okay, this player is young but he showed he can become a good, important player for us. The club decided to buy him.”

"Antonio Conte has firmly established himself as the final arbiter when it comes to Tottenham’s first team. It’s, frankly, ludicrous to suggest that Daniel Levy, Fabio Paratici, or anyone, could successfully foist a player that Conte doesn’t want onto him just because. And Conte even alludes to this mixed method of player acquisition in his comments — Conte knows Tottenham’s history of buying and developing young players, sees Spence as a player who could become a very good addition to the squad, and signed off on the deal."

Evidence 2

"The chairman rang me and said do you want to do it ?"

Evidence 3

"According to Joorabchian, however, the real reason behind discussions stalling was that Coutinho didn’t fit into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans."

“Philippe Coutinho has no personal issue with Daniel Levy and claims otherwise are totally false. The deal did not collapse due to financial reasons," said Joorabchian."

The worst in the world? Really?

I was an ST holder at the old place, Wembley and the new stadium.

Are you honestly going to tell me the Paxton and the west stand are places they were absolutely bouncing week in week out?
