ENIC In or ENIC Out

Brian woke up in a good mood this morning.

Things like this used to get on my nerves a bit as it seemed like an obsession. I've wanted them gone for 3 or 4 years as football has outgrown them and they've achieved all they're going too but was always in the 'hope springs eternal' camp. I honestly thought they wouldnt be so stupid to piss away another summer and undermine another new manager. I thought they might wake up but its never going to happen. This is them, there isnt going to be any change in philosophy or plan and people like this are/were right.

To layer this on Levy a bit more, the game changing Stadium has indeed been just that. Our decline was not arrested by the stadium, it’s just continued to get worse, and now we are no longer able to compete at the top table or retain our best player.

And no. I don’t make an allowance for Covid. Levy and twerps like him we’re completely happy to keep the stadium closed, reducing their operating costs while bunging all the games on pay TV for £££ and it’s not affected any of the other clubs either.

Arent the FFP figures not reflective of money in vs money out?

I.e. we can spend what we make. So overall if we've spent 400 million less than FFP allowed us to, that money has been diverted elsewhere by choice over the last few years.

I think ENIC would have alot more understanding from fans if they sent the extra mile to give poch what he needed before initiating this stadium process
No, it's not.

All it says in under FFP rules we could spend £x
£x is more than our revenue.

Clubs are allowed to spend more than their revenue.

But so long as the fans are happy because

We won't do a Leeds
It's not Alan Sugar
They're not Arabs
They don't kill People ?
We haven’t been relegated
The beer pours from the bottom
All billionaires are shady / dodgy anyway
Levy claims to be a lifelong fan

Then business continues and we're all good.

I appreciate we got Maddison in early, but lessons have not been learned. All just Levy bollocks.

Two weeks until the season opener, no new defenders and we appear to be arguing the toss over a couple of million for our reported primary targets.

Lost points at the start of the season because we waited until deadline day might be the difference between Champion's League and not, which will be worth many millions more.

Why are rich people so stupid?

It's like the poster the other day that was trying to convince the forum that it was Levy's fault a selection of our fan base boo'd Sanchez last season in the most pathetic, cowardly way possible

If THAT is the the Enic out movement, I want nothing to do with it. Honestly I'd rather have ENIC than ever have to be associated with people who even try to justify that kind of behaviour.
I’m the same bud. I don’t care who owns us and I’m perfectly happy with Middle Eastern money and owners. But I’m of the opinion that the present owners get to the end of the window before I throw my toys out of the pram.

Saying that, it’s not looking good and I’d probably already be Levy Out if it wasn’t for this place. I see the Levy Out mob on here and they are either just really thick in most cases or peddling lies and being slippery cunts. There are one or two exceptions to this, but on the whole it’s a group I look at and think “if they believe a thing, then it can’t be the correct thing to believe in” and I swing back to Levy In.

It’s weird that most of them make up shit to argue their case with, as there is so much out there that’s actual fact that could be used. Very strange behaviour.

So you want to keep Levy just in case he sells up to Arabs. Some people might see that as being a tad racist.
Oh do fuck off

The racists were the ones that were happy to watch a bit of footie and not give a fuck about "sticky brown people" **** that were slaves and dying in the building of the stadiums

****
A quote from someone who accused of racism at the time and alleged that I wasn't happy because "sticky brown people" were hosting the tournament.

For clarity, seeing it appears that you know you fucked up and are now trying to move the goalposts, or trying to score t'interweb points.

I do not want any owners from Saudi/Qatar who support those regimes.
The same goes for any other owners from any other countries that have similar regime's.

I am not going to get into a "what about" on different levels of badness.

Slavery, women's rights, and having a law that allows a country to execute gay people is my line.

Bit harsh , I’m very ENIC out & I find some of their actions baffling considering we’re supposed to be a football team . I’ve seen too many glaring missed opportunities , negligence , distain for the fans & plain stupidity but it’s got to the point that nothing really surprises or bothers me , which is a shame . I watch games but part of my love for the club has dwindled.

You appear to be saying that all Saudi/Quatri people are xyz. What would be wrong with an honest Saudi or Quatari buisness person owning our football club?

Are F’in kidding me Levybot?!?!? You talking about morality when Joe Lewis is your majority owner?!?

A man who has fenced off public land in Argentina and had his private security goons beat to bloody pulp anyone trying access the land. Bribed local officials so court orders aren’t enforced and threatened people on peaceful marches onto the public land with gun violence?!?

A man who gives his employees illegal stock tips to avoid paying a them pensions and has tanked/shorted the currency of his own country causing the economic suffering to millions.

Lewis a f’in Bond villain- You don’t care about morality if you’re sticking up for ENIC.

A word of advice to the Levybot programmers - probably best just to avoid the topic of morality since Joe Lewis your patron.

I have “you” on ignore but spouting self righteousness while supporting Lewis was too much hypocrisy/idiocy to not respond - when I caught the gist from post responses. Back on ignore.

For the record, I don’t want a Gulf state purchasing the club either but we’re already owned by a morally bankrupt human being so get off it …

I honestly don't see a problem with a wealthy Saudi or Quatari buisness person owning our club.

Maybe we should never have a British or American owner because their Governments invaded iraq based on a lie and killed 1000's.

I think there is a clear distinction between being owned by an independently wealthy, possibly unpleasant individual and being owned by literal government ministers from brutal, backwards regimes.

Newcastle’s ownership is “a sovereign instrumentality of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”. Nobody who loves Tottenham should want the club to be part of the propaganda department of a country that executes people for being gay.

Here’s a snippet from The Athletic (also in summer transfer thread). Points 3 and 4 are key reasons why Levy needs to retire. Year after year, he hampers us through these behaviours. Stupid little man, incapable of learning from mistakes, surrounded by an echo chamber of inexperienced yes man. Get out, cunt

Good article on how transfers work

My basic summary

1 information that comes out in the media about transfers is often correct. However it is used by club/agent to try and get something i.e bidding war. So that means the Bissouma transfer which came out of nowhere was probably to do with Levy and Barber having a great relationship and not leaking.

2 WhatsApp/email heavily used.

3 owners/chairman often engage in Trumpian ‘’win the deal’’ behaviour which often makes the transfer difficult for ego reasons. actual bids are often very simple, more a game of politics and while it can get complex it normally isn’t at least in terms of process. So it’s politics that makes most deals hard.

4 other clubs remember how you behaved in prior negotiations.

5 personal terms with player nearly always agreed beforehand.

Clearly many other reasons why Levy hampers us but these two are obvious when it comes to transfers

Sure but there's nothing wrong with an independently wealthy Saudi or Quatari owner is there?
