if our chairman had had a long-term plan for the football team in the same way that he has had a long-term plan for the redevelopment in and around Tottenham, we won the league about five times by now. It has been as plain as day to me for six or seven years that what we are witnessing is a man playing real life Monopoly. People have given him far too much slack because of the idiot he succeeded. But the Sugar years were the lowest of the low. This is a club that used to win things, that used to play the most exciting football, used to sign the biggest players. We played with swagger, verve, and zeal. Look at us now! Well done, Daniel!

The overarching sentiment of his post was that we are being poorly run because we are 'penny-pinching' which as a rule is not quite true based on the examples I gave

Add to that the shit show of a transfer window last summer where we essentially signed kids. The blatant disregard thus far in this window and the unprecedented butchering of the wage bill..It does offer a tiny glimmer of hope that its some kind of exit strategy

The bigger barrier to our on field success is not the self sustaining / no owner investment strategy but the operational weaknesses of Levy and his scumbag exac board.
If Levy retired or died tomorrow and we brought in Paul Barber as CEO (under Lewis’s family), and gave him free reign to recruit a new team and make decisions, we would have a far better chance of success. Short sighted and under qualified scum like Levy, and that decrepit old pungent ghoul Cullen need bombing from our payroll. If the bald shithead became Chairman or a non exec with Barber having CEO management of the FC happy days. People obsess about lack of spending, players etc but these fucking useless cunts set culture of all 500 employees and its awful, has been awful for decades and will only get worse as they age into their 70’s. You see I agree with what you say regarding penny pinching, I don't think we have to spend a lot to get better , some of our better players over the years have been quite cheap.
But you have to have the right organisation to buy players when they are needed, we need to buy youth and experienced, some potential some proven. We require evolution not revolution every few years.
Levy/ ENIC have completely failed in this regard , the playing style lurches one way then another, the complete lack of strategy is a disgrace.
Please don't tell me that its all sorted now with Lange and Munn as we have heard all that before, going back to Arnessen, Comolli, Paraticci and rest.
You would have thought that after a quarter of century things would be in place to allow us to compete but as we can see in the last few seasons that is simply not the case.
The club is being run (football wise) poorly and quite honestly it is amazing how Levy turns up every game. The man has no shame.

It's not JUST because of Ronaldo and Messi (though they wouldn't even CONSIDER coming to Spurs)
...it's because of previous, and current sustained successes ON the pitch, that have cemented their name or "brand" across the globe.
Man Utd are a shadow of the team they were 20 years ago, yet STILL get 70k plus fans in each week...
Give it 20 more years of mediocrity, and even their Glory Fans will have moved on, or given up by then.
WE are trying to create a global super brand, but without the on field success to back it up! ...if anything we GACK IT UP!
Glory fans and tourists will only align themselves to a failing model for so long, before THEY ALSO get bored with the lack of success, and eventually stop coming, and go back to the TRULY SUCCESSFUL CLUBS!
