This is an observation I can agree with. Being a Scottish fan, and a fan of Rangers, English football is 100% about the money nowadays. It's really sad to see a great club like Spurs, with great history and pedigree, failing to deliver as it should on the park due to the commercial interests of those steering the ship - something which I'm having to taste at Rangers now, and which is very bitter indeed. At least Spurs won't face an insolvency event or anything, but its still very frustrating to see that football is no longer about the people in the stands anymore, its about those in the suits in the posh boxes

Its a bigger problem than us Carlito, its the way the game is going in general, if ENIC goes ideally who would you want? I hate to break it to some of you on here but if Levy were to sell the club tomorrow he wouldn't be worrying about who would be the most fit person(s) to run the club, he'd solely be focused on the pound signs.
Buy cheap, invest as little as possible and then sell for the most inflated price that can be screwed out of a buyer.

Our squad is full of lots and lots of players who are average at best, dross at worst. The squad is nowhere near good enough. Having loads of players ≠ having a great squad. We have depth, but the general quality of our starting eleven leaves a lot to be desired.
We've had four managers in the last three years and I don't think Levy gives them autonomy to choose their preferred flavor of tea let alone what players to bring in. The days of looking at our manager as the figure to blame should be long gone. Levy has made our managers into patsies, left to flounder in predictable failure due to cheapness and general inability to get it done in the transfer market. At this point, our ire should be firmly placed towards Levy not Pochettino. What other club that continually cites top four as its goal spends under 24 million pounds with a new manager while three of its five purchases are players aged 21 or under?

I really Dont think a march against the club will do anything, By all means do it but you actually think levy gives 2 shiny shites about that? all he cares about is the gate receipts, How many shit xmas jumpers the stores sells, Stub Hub, Sponsors, corporate hospitality, As some one said last night for every one of us who says they will not go there are 10 mugs that will, Loyal fans who have endured this crap for the past 20 odd years are so low on his list is daft.

It's not as easy as getting ENIC to leave as we need someone to buy the club from them. Purely on the playing side, we sell out best players and replace them with ones nowhere near as good. They buy young and hope they turn out to be good players worked for a bit but we need to change from that. We had Modric, VDV, Bale and King a few years ago. A bit more investment rather than a net profit could have meant we'd really kicked on and be CL and challenging for the league. At one point a few years ago we were genuinely up there challenging for the title a few seasons ago. Since then it's all gone downhill.
Yes this, What if we were to get a Vincent Tam, Mike Ashley? but on the other hand i dont think ENIC are investing enough in the team. Im torn i really am

ENIC and Levy are the only things still around from all our previous failures. They hire the managers & directors of football. And when we dont have the DOF Levy was handling the transfers. They are the single reason our club has gone from near top of league and Champions League quarter finalists back to mid table also rans. We are about to become a lesser side than Southampton and Everton within the next 12-18 months.
The unforgivables in my opinion from Levy:
1) not backing Harry when he had us playing the most exciting football in the country. Yes we through away a top 3 finish but Levy didn't make funds available in that January and we got bloody Saha!
2) Sacking him despite taking us to the league position he was expected to. A penalty shoot out cock up by ze Germans the only reason we didn't make the Champions League, Harry did his bit in the league.
3) Selling 2 of our best 3 players (Modric and VDV) in AVB's first summer and not replacing them with who he wanted. Mouthino was meant to be signed as well as Dembele instead he held out on a few million.
4) Signing Baldini who then went out and sold not just Bale but also our next biggest goal threath in Dempsey and replacing them with too many players.
5) Sacking AVB a few months into a season where we turned over nearly 1/3 of our squad!

Thing is the devil we know is doing very little for the football club imho.
Our apathy is an insult to our motto from Enic to the players which in turn is affecting the fans passion. So many Spurs fans I know these days just shrug their shoulder when it comes to THFC. It's hard to get excited by something that is stagnant Be that the footie or the current stadium situ
Everyone hates the idea of foreign ownership why because of Tan and the Hull bloke? I'd say Levy and Ashley are more football incompetent than the two of them. Yes they haven't changed club colours (Ashley did change the name of St James Park) but on the pitch they are just as bad!
Did we all rush to buy our Burnley tickets this morning? Thank goodness for the Bronze priority window.........
