Still, even when taking that into account, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that these owners have no intention of making us a football club that competes for trophies.

The only ambition they have is infrastructure.

Totally agree, that's why it wasn't a defense of ENIC.

This is more of an explanation of reason for the 30 million. This wasn't a cash grab by them from the club as it looks from the outset.

It's the mindset (see the boy hotspur) until Tottenham Hotspur FC are put first by these owners we wont win anything.
Its criminal what there doing here, they wont back the managers properly it's always the cheap option or no fucking option at all.
Until theres change at the top or a change of mindset-attitude we are going nowhere.
They are the enemy within

And he always tries to deny it too. Levy comes out with interviews telling us how much he’s invested and how poor we are. Makes me fucking sick!!!!

As myself and others predicted a few months back ENIC have reached an impasse with the club, its not that they don't know what they're doing so much but that they're struggling to do what they want to do within the framework they've set themselves. Levy wanted a high profile manager to justify the myth , the high ticket prices, etc, but with Kane jumping ship and the Mourinho experiment dead and buried the last vestiges of us being seen as a big club are now fading. Last season proved the Poch era that ENIC dined out on for so long is well and truly over. Levy and ENIC are out of options.

Enic have no where to go .
Investment in the team is risky and spending to compete is not an option for them .
A top manager will never come as the restrictions will spell failure but they won't want one any way. A project , puppet manager would be perfect for them , no demands etc.
Their golden plan of top 4 on a limited budget is know out of touch .
PR machine will be on full spin but how many times can they tell the same shit . The majority have seen their true colours at last .
The club is in no man's land with development, NFL , seen as the way forward by Enic.

It pains me to agree with every word of this post, but this is where we are now. It's going to take a miracle to get us back to top four level (assume that's what the aim is?)

We're in as big a mess as them lot down the road (if not worse but possibly trying to convince ourselves that we cant be *that* bad) with ownership in relation to competition, and were were fooled under Poch that there was a plan, an actual strategy. Now we can see there wasnt, they just got lucky like they did with Jol and Redknapp. They also thought the grass would be greener by getting rid of Wenger. That turned out well didnt it?

Neither club has any ambition, neither club is particularly attractive to the top players or managers, both clubs have a top end owner who doesnt give a shit about football. Very worrying times indeed

The obsession with a big name really baffles me. As fans are we that stupid, big name, big name, Hollywood, blah, blah, blah.

Our big name managers have all disappointed, Jose, AVB and Graham. Our emergency managers or more low key like Jol, Redknapp and Poch have been our best. We work on tight budgets, often leave holes in the team and have to use to some degree youth players, combine this with as Levy called our ‘’DNA’’, which in short is attacking football and our fans (match day going fans) inability to suffer boring football.

This means we are only suited to an attacking manager who can work with both good but also average players and isn’t afraid of using youth to build a squad over the long term. That means on the list of managers we have been linked with Ten Hag and Potter along with obviously Pochettino clearly fit the design.

The likes of Nuno and yes much as he is brilliant Conte don’t, that’s just the way the club and ownership is set up. What is odd is that our ownership doesn’t understand our ownership and thinks a short term cheque book manager will work as a project manager at a club without a cheque book.

I cannot get my head around ENIC’s lack of understanding of themselves and the club they run and to some degree our own fans lack of understand that someone like Conte wouldn’t work with us. The ownership, the fans, we need to look in the mirror at this club as it is and then appoint a manager that best fits. This will only change if ENIC leave.

Levy cannot do miracles , but he has been one hell of an illusionist for many years . However his sleight of hand has been exposed to even the majority of his previously ardent believers. He only has a few left who are still behaving like he is some American TV evangelist, who if he only touched them they would be able to walk and see again.
The sooner they stand up and fall down, or walk into a lamppost they could not see the better for all of us

Another day. No signings, no manager, no strategy

what a clueless little fuck

WE WANT LEVY OUT. Can’t wait to get raped by City and for the crowd to turn on him

That United graphic is unbelievable- has that leveraged acquisition loophole been closed or could Levy tuck us up like that and sell to even bigger speculative bastards a la Glazers?

I dont think a miracle is needed. Spurs need owners who put the football side first and unfortunately Enic and Levy have never done this. Unless they change there attitude next season will be a toxic shitshow

It's a sad state of affairs, it really is. I have to say at this point, the only people defending them must be doing so in bad faith or are just so deep into their bias towards the owners that they aren't interested in changing their position, irrespective of evidence.

It's like when someone has a favourite actor and they get called out for doing something disgusting and people want to die on a hill for them, same principle here imo.

I want someone to explain to me what the long term plan is on the football side from ENIC? How does their current "project" (if they even have one) benefit the supporters and the football club outside of them just developing infrastructure?

Some of my agrees and quoted posts on here may seem to contradict themselves, because when i read this forum and quite often when writing on it ,i am thinking aloud, running thoughts through my head.
But i can safely say,i agree 100% with this. This is what we have come to.
We had a golden era ,once in 10years (at least ) squad of players and we(ENIC) blew it.
