Everton, City, United and Chelsea haven't brought in any players yet.
Woolwich have signed somebody called Albert. I assume he's in his mid 70s.
Liverpool have signed a CB....but this could be a clear indication that Van Dyke is finished.
Only Leicester have really done any business - So CALM THE FUCK DOWN!!! haha
They might not have unveiled players yet. But come the end of the transfer window which is only a few weeks away, Man Utd and Chelsea will, without doubt, have invested substantial sums of money in their respective squads. City, don't seem to be as active at the moment but come the end of the window, they will be. Who knows, maybe Kane and Grealish.
Woolwich now have a better defence than ours; their midfield is probs better now too; we have a better forward line. For now. But it's touch and go. How far ahead of them were we 3/4 years ago.
Liverpool have signed one of the best young defenders in Europe. Beyond him, where to they need to strengthen. 22 October 2017. On that date we beat Liverpool 4 - 1. We had a superior team then. Far superior. Then what happened? One board invested (wisely (and to a level we could afford to invest)) the other board let the team stagnate against the wishes of the manager.
I'm sorry, but i think it is time to start panicking. I'm no longer looking to the top 5. I'm worrying about the teams below us: Aston Villa, Leeds, West Ham (though even they finished above us last season), Woolwich. They are catching up. Because of our chronic lack of spending.
Finally, I would sell Kane if he wants to go. £120M. Done. I can see him staying though. Not signing a new contract. And being sold for FAR less than what he is valued at now in a year or two a la Eriksen.
