ENIC In or ENIC Out

Spurs fans are passive at the best of times. If Joe Lewis took £300m out of the club to buy art and Levy wiped his arse with Tottenham Hotspur printed toilet paper there would be 10 guys at the stadium with a banner and the rest moaning on this forum probably me included. It’s mostly just letting off steam, we don’t have the drive or anger of other fans like Liverpool FC. Just not our nature.
If we don’t get the Spice Girls with Posh appearing as a hologram it will be the final straw , I will be there with my placard , unless it’s raining or a bit nippy out

Not seeing the forest for the trees, lads.

The big picture is playing a match the following day on a pristine pitch.

Please note that Brentford almost nicked 3 points off of us on that rugby pitch.

Uh ... everyone does understand it. Everyone just wants owners who also focus on the sporting side of the club more, which lots of other owners do. Liverpool are ran as a money making operation but also have a strong focus on the pitch side of things, thus they've won trophies + grown economically.

This lot are only competent at the commercial side of the club. When it comes to running a successful football team they have no idea, no plan, no clue. Hence why people would rather have owners that can do both, and thus are ENIC out. Not that hard to understand.

Yeah this is all well and good until you realise that Poch came in and had a good academy to work from, had players who had huge potential like, Kane Eriksen, Vertonghen, Walker, Lloris, Dembele, they wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for the board and I very much doubt that Poch would have been the success he was, one can't happen without the other.

The only reason why we can attract the likes of Poch, Jose, Conte is because of the board's vision and what they put in place, so we can all say ENIC got lucky but you very much make your own luck in this game.
Number of seriously contentious points there.

He had a “good academy to work from”? Did he? Where is the evidence of that? Our academy is nothing short of a joke.

The players you mentioned sure had big potential but would any manager have unlocked it the way Poch was able to? Very debatable.

Also, the reason we can attract top managers is nothing to do with any “vision” the board have put in place. It’s because, somewhat ironically, we are willing to pay up to attract the top managers, something ENIC have always been willing to do. However, it’s a flawed tactic, as it’s a roundabout way for them to cheap out of buying top players, as they seem to believe hiring a world class manager should be enough to make us a top team/appease the fans/make it look like they’re trying to make us competitive.

Okay. At the end of the day though every corporation essentially has the same goal, which is to maximize profits and corporate value. We just happen to have a different, emotional investment into the club where that doesn’t matter anywhere near as much. This isn’t a hobby for them, it’s an investment.

The sooner everyone understands that, the easier it is to accept. And acceptance doesn’t mean that you have to be happy about it.
Do you remember how Sugar was attacked and hounded out? Not a corporation so shut the fuck up, no franchise, no roster, no inflatable fingers and no forty hot dogs pre match

As much as I commend that about them and we definitely are a v passive fanbase, there’s also nothing we can do to get ENIC out. Owners only sell once their price is met; Ashley’s the biggest proof of that and he would’ve sold sooner if they didn’t have those legal issues before he was allowed to sell Newcastle to them. There’s nothing we can do except hope the club isn’t completely too far gone when they do sell.

I don't think they benefit the footballing side as much as you think . The extra revenue is sidelined or incompetently used by people who have little passion or knowledge for football. We are not more competitive than a decade ago arguably worse .
Enic's policy will fail the football side as always but not the sale.
It is most definitely not sidelined.

We are spending more now than ever before, that's due to the extra revenue the stadium provides.

On more and more shit based on short term plans and zero football vision because they can’t be bothered to put in place a long term football philosophy and instead would prefer glitzy managers on short term contracts whilst pretending to build for the future by signing young players who are never actually seen on the pitch.

All whilst delivering reactive, shit on a stick football. There’s zero entertainment value in being a Spurs fan at the moment and it’s not as if we sacrifice entertainment for success or for future planning. It’s just a constant reminder that we’re improving commercially whilst never seeing that translate to the football. All we have is short-term bursts of success, usually after appointing a new manager.

So no trophies, no plan, no clue, no hope. ENIC out motherfuckers.

Is or was?

You've spoken in past tense and then in present tense in the same sentence?, our academy isn't great now but it was back then, we had an academy which had been headed up by John McDermott and had some absolute gems coming though the youth system and guess who's idea it was to invest heavily into it....

You can ignore the facts and pursue your anti ENIC agenda until you're blue in the face but let's not try and argue against facts.

The players you mentioned sure had big potential but would any manager have unlocked it the way Poch was able to? Very debatable.

And that isn't up for debate, no-one said Poch doesn't deserve his flowers, my point is that everything should be attributed to Poch, as always people want to separate Poch from ENIC and want to attribute all the good things to Poch and the bad things to ENIC which is hilarious to me, the players, manager, staff, board were all one team and need to be praised as one as much as they need to be criticized.

Also, the reason we can attract top managers is nothing to do with any “vision” the board have put in place. It’s because, somewhat ironically, we are willing to pay up to attract the top managers, something ENIC have always been willing to do. No, the reason why we attract top named managers is because of our world standing and our year on year improvement so much so that we are now an established top 6 club, no amount of money is attracting any top manager 10 years ago for example.

It's the same reason why we sneaked into the ESL (whether you think that was right or wrong) it doesn't happen if Spurs aren't on the platform they are on now, again that's down to the direction the board has taken this club.

Daniel Levy. The highest paid CEO in world football - who is in charge of a scouting network that’s managed to scout and secure the procurement of three right backs somehow worse than Serge fucking Aurier

Even his close family must rip the piss out of the useless bald dwarf

They’re getting progressively worse so in about five right backs time I’m fancying my chances of playing for Spurs

It's still funny to me that social media blew up and this thread and Jan transfer blew up simultaneously as soon as the Gapko signing was announced as if we were in for him :D
