That's not always necessarily a good thing, Paratici was proven and competent, Edu for Woolwich had 0 experience for example

Apparently:

Just chill and be happy that there seems to be a semblance of a plan, baby steps.

They'll never be happy.

It's the anti Levy cult in full swing.
They literally can't give him credit for anything, it's like bile to them.

Tequila GIF

Yeah I remember them wanting him praised for hiring Conte as well. I haven't seen them ask for praise since he's sacked him, but that might be because he's sort of just left his assistant in charge and even they can't really bring themselves to pretend its a great decision.
Rather that than wishing our manager to fail before a ball of the season was kicked, as someone on here advocated.

Imagine wanting your team to fail, simply because you don't like the owners.

Disgraceful behaviour from our "proper fans".

There’s a huge amount going on at Tottenham Hotspur, with uncertainty surrounding the new head coach, the managing director of football and the general direction of the club.

We asked for your views on Spurs’ most pressing issues, and almost 4,000 of you responded.

It’s a considerable sample size, and highlights that Julian Nagelsmann — rather than Mauricio Pochettino — is your preferred choice as Antonio Conte’s successor, how little trust there is in Daniel Levy when it comes to on-pitch matters (especially when compared to off-pitch ones), and an overwhelming disagreement with the decision not to suspend Fabio Paratici when he was banned in Italy.

These are the results of The Athletic’s Tottenham survey.

Starting with the head coach vacancy, 86 per cent of those surveyed either agreed or strongly agreed with the decision to sack Conte.

Concerningly, the most popular response (41.6 per cent) to the decision to temporarily replace him with Cristian Stellini was indifference, reflecting the apathy that is creeping in at Spurs as they stagger towards the end of the season. At least the next best was a positive response, with 28.3 per cent agreeing with the decision.

As for Conte’s permanent successor, Nagelsmann was the most popular choice (48 per cent), followed by Pochettino (30.4 per cent) and then Brighton & Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi (10.2 per cent). Spurs host Brighton on Saturday, incidentally. Other suggestions for the next Spurs manager included Ted Lasso, Tim Sherwood and View From The Lane host Danny Kelly.

Regarding the ongoing ‘Spurs DNA’ vs ‘win now’ debate, more than half (50.6 per cent) said that style of play was what mattered most when picking a new manager. Above engendering a sense of togetherness (25.9 per cent) and winning trophies (23.5 per cent).

When it comes to how the club is being run, there was broad dissatisfaction in the responses. As many as 82.2 per cent were either unhappy or very unhappy with Levy’s running of the club, and 79.7 per cent were less happy with the running of club than they were a month ago.

An almost unanimous 91.4 per cent said they do not trust Levy with on-field matters, contrasted with 57.5 per cent of respondents saying they trusted Levy with off-field matters.

More than three quarters (75.7 per cent), meanwhile, disagreed with the club keeping Paratici in his role when he had been banned from Italian football by the country’s FA in January.

Fewer than half (42.3 per cent) felt that Spurs were punching above their weight as a club, though a resounding 83.7 per cent either agreed or strongly agreed that Spurs were in a better position now than they were when Levy took over.

One decision that will prove popular is the club announcing that they will freeze season ticket prices for 2023-24. Our poll closed shortly before Wednesday’s announcement and had only 5.9 per cent of respondents saying they would be either understanding or very understanding of a rise in prices.

Clearly, there are issues at the club that need resolving. A good result against Brighton on Saturday would at least lift the mood in the short term.
"One decision that will prove popular is the club announcing that they will freeze season ticket prices for 2023-24."

Not on here apparently.

That's a tough one to quantify. On paper we are much better off financially than we were when enic took over of course, Levy is a smart business asset. However where a huge and significant junk of Spurs fans have a problem is that the on-field improvement has badly stalled now, even though the ticket prices have soared to reflect a successful footballing club. In fact the ticket prices are an insult to Spurs fans and rightly so.
A few years back Poch delivered what Levy and enic allegedly wanted - to win trophies (only they didn't really), he turned us into a proper big club with a team to match (not a squad though). He also got us into the CL 4 years on the trot and to the final. His reward was to be sacked largely because the squad was stale after 18 months without a transfer.
Poch exposed Levy as a fake, and Cullen is Levy's little helper. All managers since have continued to do so. Levy and Co want nothing more than top 4 every season on a tight budget. Both want to buy cheap and sell high, using THFC as nothing more than a commodities market. Anyone who can't see their true characters after the exposure of the last few years doesn't want to, simple as that. They are looking through rosy coloured spectacles. You can't say we're financially better off whilst ignoring the footballing facts!
Our fall, and embarrassment across the footballing world is now complete. Trouble is the Levy apologists only exist in their own echo chamber when they hold a meeting in a telephone box.

ok?

What are they protesting for, ENIC to leave the club or Poch to come back?

Bit silly if you're diluting the message.

So if Poch comes back all is forgiven with ENIC then? :gallashmm:

Was just long winded way of saying that Levy is good at making money for the club (and himself), but lousy at anything football related, hideously bad in fact - we're a football club. Having just watched a motm display from Grealish again, to think Levy turned down the chance to sign him for the same money he splurged on Sess and Gil is a very painful thing to do. The man should be banned from a 3 mile radius around the training ground and all footballing decisions. Trouble is he will still have to sign off the cheques. Surely the answer is to give the footballing side of the club a set budget and let them get on with it.

State of that cunt. What a bunch of idiots.

I mean, there's plenty of shit to criticise Levy about in terms of decisions he's making effecting the football side of the business, but as soon as you put a big banner saying "profit before glory" - when every single penny of profit has gone back into this club and the owners haven't taken a dividend for about 17 years - you make yourselves look like ignorant twats.

It was Pochettino that cost us a couple of trophies with his incompetence as well.

Their £4 billion profit will come when they sell the club

Not sure if the audio on any TV coverage picked this up. In the south stand today at around the 60min mark, immediately after the bust up between the coaching teams, a ‘we want Levy out’ chant broke out and was fairly well supported by large sections of the crowd. It was swiftly followed by Poch chants.

Yeah probably around 11.5% of the crowd :ledley:

Good to see you’re still avoiding whether you would be happy for ENIC to load the club with debt to fund transfers. You seemed to be happy for it earlier :kaneear:

I ignored that shit post because you pretended I said something I didn't, and that bored me even more than you usually manage.

The only point of my post was that you tried to use other clubs leveraging their club with debts as some sort of negative to shield ENIC with, and I simply pointed out that half of the fucking examples you used were nonsense.

Which leaves your entire argument as 'The Glazers'. Really well done, I'm convinced. Let's commit to a 1000 years of ENIC rule.
