No, no no, to anyone using this to defend levy. This is so blatantly obvious and crystal clear that the recruiter isn't impressed with the decisions taken by Levy. Missing out on key players. Given that this recruiter has hindsight, he is referring to players who have done well elsewhere (i.e. not proven flops) given that he's implying they could have made a difference.
Fundamentally disagree with anybody leaning on the "poch had final say" bandwagon.
Clear internal insight that Levy had a vocal opinion of players, and would get involved on costings, and "had a price mind" for a player.
If your managing director boss with a history of sacking employees told you,
"I prefer this cheaper option, its better value for money and looks better to me.....but YOU have final say".......is that really a choice or a charged question.
I defy half of the members on here to disagree with their managing director knowing full well if the more expensive alternative isn't guaranteed to work out then you are stuffed.
