Only because they keep it under wraps.
Why else are they still here? You don't hang around for 22 years making no money, showing no signs of leaving over some wacko plan to sell on.
If their goal was to grow the club and sell for a profit, the latest, absolute latest they should've sold up was when ground broke for the stadium. Once all the planning permission was sorted, once the finance was there, once the team were in the Champions League
That was the time to sell. But they stayed.
My opinion is they probably should have sold up during the Redknapp era

There doesn't appear to be any appetite for a sale and that's in direct conflict with the theory that's their masterplan
Lewis is dead in the next five years, fingers crossed Levy keels over in the next 3 months through stress/paranoia and their family just flip it for whatever they can get

How could anyone feel sorry for levy and enic. Theyve taken out huge loans secured on the club and spent your money to make themselves richer and clearly have no fucking idea what they are doing football wise.

There is absolutely zero chance they will invest in the club, though I'm sure they will lie about it. They will tell us the next manager will have a 300m budget but fail to sign him till August , then bs us about there was no time for signings.

No European football, no manager and no DoF, how do we really think next season is gonna go? Still we have the stadium with it's special atmosphere... And some cocks will defend them regardless, namely Woolwich fans...
Special atmosphere

It’s five times meeker than than the Emirates. A complete white elephant

The club needs a revolution on the playing side. JN and a good fit as his DoF seems like the way to go, if Levy can get out of his own way.
Despite what our good friend GG on here thinks, to me it's clear & obvious (VAR pun intended) they had a convo with Nagelsmann, during which he told them in no uncertain terms that he'd take over only if they'd also appoint the DoF of his choosing, invest heavily in the squad, and cut all our shite deadwood. The club wouldn't commit to that, or they tried to lie but he saw through it...knowing he'd likely spoken with Poch, Jose & Conte beforehand to get the lowdown on Levy & his gang.

Then, to save face, the club got its PR dept to put out a release to their media darlings saying they never were keen on Nags and that no meeting ever took place. Can't afford that blunder to come out at ST renewal time. Money talks.

Russ Williams said as much on the LWOS podcast and though he was light on evidence, I have more faith in him than in the bald cunt and his army of truth-twisting PR twats.

And any “ reasonable “ person would know that we were there , competing with the big clubs & decided to not spend a penny for over 500 days .

Has any team in any sport ever done that knowing that all sports squads windows of age is very short

Edit … oh it’s you 😂
Always happy to discuss.

The original comment was about being judged against the money clubs. We were performing significantly above expectations for a number of seasons. Significant overperformance is NOT the norm. You can spend too much in the short term but that doesn’t take you to another level - in the end your capacity to spend is what will take you to another level. And levy has done a great job at that.

You mention that we didn’t spend for 18 months. Why do you think that was?

I have a reasonable answer but I’m interested to hear what you think.

It feels like we've come full circle to when ENIC took over. Feels worse in fact because we got close to the summit, we qualified for the CL multiple times, there was hope. But now we have seen even the most successful managers get screwed over by Levy. No one will make us successful as things stand right now.

The stadium and other infrastructure demands win now owners not a project manager.

It's bleedin obvious what needs to happen.

It's inevitable.

How can Levy continue as chairman with the crowd singing; "we want Levy out" every time we concede a goal?

Levy has made his own position untenable.

Selling the club is the only logical solution for ENIC.

The failure by the board or cunts, to back managers properly, has seen us go into a decline.
No manager is indeed, getting it right under these, we will have to play the waiting game, and hope that someone offers them the money to buy them out.

I am convinced ENIC have a long term plan to maximise the entire stadium development and all commercial opportunities. After that they will sell for a couple of extra billion.
If you don’t believe that, ask yourself why the stadium was designed to host NFL games. Its so that an NFL franchise can take up residence. Thats part of the long game. Breaking away into a European Superleague is another aim.
I think they've overplayed their hand there , if the team does badly, year in and year out the club will be worth less and no amount of go karting and NFL will make up for it.
