Always happy to discuss.

The original comment was about being judged against the money clubs. We were performing significantly above expectations for a number of seasons. Significant overperformance is NOT the norm. You can spend too much in the short term but that doesn’t take you to another level - in the end your capacity to spend is what will take you to another level. And levy has done a great job at that.

You mention that we didn’t spend for 18 months. Why do you think that was?

I have a reasonable answer but I’m interested to hear what you think.

Thank you .

Your firsts paragraph ( bar the greeting, obvs) reminds me of a fat pig , full of numbers , giving “as it’s hard to do “….. Leicestershire did , twice …

Full of money and “long term , short term “ investment

I’m a fuckin Yid , not a stockbroker

But I know you’re a “ post to get a reply “ kinda fella & good for you . You know nothing about being a Spurs fan & good for you , it’s easy for you to be controversial if you don’t give a fuck

I am convinced ENIC have a long term plan to maximise the entire stadium development and all commercial opportunities. After that they will sell for a couple of extra billion.
If you don’t believe that, ask yourself why the stadium was designed to host NFL games. Its so that an NFL franchise can take up residence. Thats part of the long game. Breaking away into a European Superleague is another aim.

Lewis is dead in the next five years, fingers crossed Levy keels over in the next 3 months through stress/paranoia and their family just flip it for whatever they can get

You don't spend 22 years growing an asset and take nothing from it at their age. They could have cashed out at almost any time and made a killing.
There is 100% something else going on and I'm convinced it's the non football related business of ENIC and all the other companies related to them.
Unless something goes pear shaped in those endeavours we'll be none the wiser. If, on the other hand, they failed, we'd soon find out when the club is used to finance their debts.

The owners are well known to be risk averse. So I doubt they’d risk anything to fuck up their prize asset. Too much governance on the financial side of the game these days for them to be up to anything I’d say. Pretty sure they’d be happy turning £20m into £4b as it is.

I imagine they do use the reputation of the club as a makeweight in borrowing etc. Look how good we are at running a sustainable
Football club! Of course you can trust us with this.

That kind of thing. Anything more than that would absolutely stun me. Can’t see them being that daft.

Not at all. I just believe in maximising long term outcomes. I do that in my own life and I’m happy for spurs to do that too.

Some people would like to be Leicester and have 50 years of mediocrity, two trophies, then another 50 years of mediocrity. That’s known in game theory as maximax - maximising your best outcomes.

Others would like to build slowly and be in European trophies year after year with occasional great teams when the stars align. I know our position in the world and value consistency. That’s known as maximin - maximising your worst outcomes. And indeed maximising your average outcomes.

We’re just different. Your position is fine and so is mine. No need to be precious.

Just for clarity. There will NEVER be an NFL franchise in London. NEVER.

The money levy foolishly spent redesigning the stadium is money that could have been spent on players... Or ideally not on debt in Spurs' name.

Even with the 2 or 3 games a year we get thrown we only get concessions. I'm not even sure we get ticket sales. Just popcorn and beer money. 60k of visitors spending on average 25 quid per person yields 1.5m. After tax, buying in said products and staff costs we might make 50% profit. I'm being generous.

So we get 2.25m a season from NFL. Let's say the refit cost 300m extra from the original plans and it will take about 133 years to pay back that outlay.

Surely we have to accept that the moving pitch allows us to host other events too. (Although Woolwich seem to manage without it, Wembley and the Olympic stadium too)I believe we are allowed 7 from the council. So that nudges it down to, back of fag packet, 50 years.

Doesn't really strike me as that clever. As I said at the time.

Any NFL experts on here can tell me different but the facts are even the poorest cities in America give the NFL at least a billion dollars to keep a franchise in their locale. Can't see us doing that.

The myth of Levy being a business genius is just farcical. He is a genius at lining Enics, Tavistock and his own pockets though. All off the back of our name and sadly our mug punters.

So what are Man City and Newcastle currently doing because that is what I want at this juncture.

City were maximaxing I believe; winning things years ago and then yoyoing up and down the leagues.

I'm not sure what the Toon were doing.

Fuck Levy's projects.

It's like going home with the best looking women in the club, watching her get undressed and then getting thrown out into the street, when you thought you were getting your end away, and being ignored by her for years whilst cultivating a drink problem.

His plan is shit.

Regardless of you being right or wrong regarding a franchise, the fact the NFL aspect and it's associated costs was indebted against the football club is itself a shocking indictment of the ENIC legacy.
A grand old historical English football club essentially financing a cartel's American football dream.......Something that deserves far more scrutiny than it gets in my opinion.

You know, after hearing that music blast at full time today and seeing the recent track record of this happening at the club during these bad moments, I just have to say I think that's probably the most offensive show of disdain towards the supporters.

Ignoring absolutely everything else and all the valid criticisms, I think that this show of arrogance alone is enough to tell you what you need to know about him and how he views this football club and the paying fans.

He doesn't want us to have a voice unless it's manufactured and packaged up in a way he can manipulate.

He looks down his nose at us and the club, it's incredibly childish as well and insecure and I think that speaks volumes about the leadership here at the club and at boardroom level.

The supporters are the lifeblood of the club and he wants to drown the complaints out and it's a fucking disgrace quite frankly.

I don’t think that’s a popular view but there are certainly others who want an oil state to finance some success.

To me the political analogy is that we write rules to favour the rich. Your position is fuck the middle and working class … just make me a billionaire!

My approach is, let’s make a fairer society.

So, wait...is that what you think Levy and ENIC represent? A company that wants to make a fairer society?

Troll gonna troll etc.

Of course he doesn't mean this. But the thinking fan of Teflon is thinking that various teams are going to get sanctioned by uefa this season for breaking ffp rules

Citeh are up before the beak by the time the next season starts. As are others.

Its a stupid game plan because even if they are found guilty there will be appeals.

Chelsea are another one. But looking at their squad they can easily realise 300m.

Levy thought he could ride this one out and rely on the FA and uefa to help him out next season as his raggydolls somehow scraped 4th.

Idiot.
