Why are we not aspiring to be like them rather than Brentford and Brighton?Liverpool also run their football operations in the same way using money ball and data analysis but I guess that doesn't give folk a hard on to bash the club now does it...

Half of the people in this thread get upset when people talk about xg and now they want a data-driven approach to recruitment?

I am being pragmatic , as I pointed out to Shady the Levy Out mob who actually protest are tiny . The outraged Oil State ownership is disgusting mob do even less .I agree with that point. There’s been a failure to regulate. I’ve made that point in here too - until we get meaningful regulation we won’t see a more competitive league. Which is why asking for us to be backed by a state is ridiculous - you’re asking for more of the thing that is wrong. You don’t care about what’s fair or right or good as long as you personally benefit.
They’ve improved and massively overachieved. If we do the same, we will be win things and jostle for top 4. What are his other options? He’s tried big name managers, fail. Spend like City and Chelsea?Neither Brentford or Brighton have won anything or got to top 4, after 23 years we should have a plan battened down by now,
What are you talking about Ed?I am being pragmatic , as I pointed out to Shady the Levy Out mob who actually protest are tiny . The outraged Oil State ownership is disgusting mob do even less .
So if those who don’t like the Oil State ownership cannot be arsed it is not going to change , their outrage is even more fake than my Levy Out stance , which is apathetic acceptance in reality . Let’s not pretend you or anyone else are fighting hard for a fairer system you are not. So the pragmatic position is if we want to win anything we might as well suck it up and get bought
My point is I guess I am not willing to stop supporting the club irrespective of ownership as i do not believe the owners to be the club . I believe the club to be the fans , the history , the great managers and great ex players , the local pubs , the tingle of electricity as the players run out , the rush of adrenalin at Villa”s goal in 81 , Parks save in the penalty shoot out, Greaves and Kane’s scoring prowess , the Ajax semi final , etc etc etc . Older fans will include the double winning team , I did not see them , but I know the reverence they are held in .What are you talking about Ed?
If you’re not actively campaigning on an issue then you can’t hold a belief? You’re too old to have the views of a 16 year old.
There is an important difference between the two situations though. Levy out want to change something that is happening to their club. You want people to take action about something not happening… we’re not backed by a state and there’s no reason to believe we’re about to be.
If it happens then I won’t support spurs anymore. Like I’ve said many times I’ll stick to international football and rugby.
Seems a bit extreme, to turn your back on the club because of ownership you don't like. What are you talking about Ed?

That doesn’t mean their strategy isn’t good.Neither Brentford or Brighton have won anything or got to top 4, after 23 years we should have a plan battened down by now,
A few manilla envelopes passed to certain officials to ease the processThey have allowed clubs to by pass the fit and proper person threshold, well at least in my opinion and a good many others . I do not see that changing do you ?
Why the fuck are we taking the lead from clubs who are only trying to stop yo-yoing between leagues instead of the clubs who actually fucking lift trophies?
Couldn’t agree more. But are we actually doing that? Anything from the club itself to say so? Or are we all putting too much into a couple of stories about Levy meeting betting companies? Why the fuck are we taking the lead from clubs who are only trying to stop yo-yoing between leagues instead of the clubs who actually fucking lift trophies?
It's a tricky one. You cant really change team but it would feel tainted & I would lose love for the club.Would you give up on Spurs and perhaps a non league team instead?
I couldn't care less who owns us, I just want attacking, winning football.
Liverpool pay wages and agents' fees we don't and have beaten us to multiple players.
The most important numbers to ENIC aren't fucking statistics and never will be with Levy at the helm.
Brighton and Brentford don't spend like Liverpool have, funny how they're the two main clubs mentioned as the model ENIC want to emulate.
I don't interact with you much because you've been on ignore from the 1st day I saw your username pop up.
Yes, I've had a 'mare here. Because some of the best clubs in the world use stats for scouting and where did this statistics revamp story come from in the first place and who actually brought up Liverpool anyway?
Where's that article about Liverpool from again? Medium 3 years ago? By footballing 'math' savant Viroshan Naicker?
Yeah, real 'mare Dan. You're still a fucking ordeal tbh.
