It's fair to say they have probably at times overachieved in the league but underachieved big time in winning cups.

I'm not praising Enic they have got things wrong in recent years just saying I can see why they made the Mourinho/Conte decisions even though I didn't like them.

Would you swap Enic for Evertons owners? Villa have done well this season under Emery but I wouldn't swap Everton or Villas last 10 years for ours.
Historically they are both similar size clubs to us. I'd say we have overtaken them.

If I may add my 2 cents, in response to where I think we should be as a club.
We should be in a position where we can say:
"Our cycle has ended and its regression to the mean based on our level of expenditure relative to the elite.
I'm so thankful that when poch transformed the team, we backed him at the critical moment with (insert elite talent here) to capitalise on this once in a generation opportunity with one of the finest strikers to ever grace this club.
I'm so proud to have seen my team win an FA Cup."

We should
- Have more than one league cup in 20 years.
- Be able to play consistently enjoyable football which hasn’t been the case for years
- Not be sacking coaches every 5 minutes
- Have some tangible plan for the future
- Have something beyond buildings that the fans can point towards and be proud of. Because the fans are currently miserable & the club has lost all sense of purpose or identity.
It’s amazing to me that you look at where we are as a club (fans booing the players/owner constantly, the only world class footballer wanting out etc) and you think this is our lot. All you can point to is shit in the past. ENIC haven’t made decent decisions consistently in YEARS.

Somebody tell Ledley we are finishing just about mid table this year so back to where we were when ENIC took over. However ,we won many more cups before ENIC took over.
