No I don’t think things were going well.

But I also don’t think Levy leaving today makes things any better. Also not sure if ENIC selling makes things better either. Maybe they would. Thing is, I’m not going to say you are wrong to have an opinion. I’m not going to say you aren’t being realistic. It’s your opinion we’d be better off? Lovely stuff.

But this constant bullshit about people on here being paid by Levy, being bots, not understanding what’s happening, etc is getting very fucking tiresome indeed.

Here’s the dirty wee secret “you lot” may be unaware of - you could, just could, be wrong.

Shut up levybot!!!

:baletroll:

:dembelelol:

Okay fine if that's how you want to see it, waste your money and complain when you're not getting what you paid for, ENIC's dream.

Your life. 🤷‍♂️
Same as you wasting your life complaining on a forum about spurs. I login here about twice a year in small spates.

Here's another tip, stop giving advice to supporters who care and have been raised attending a football club like its switching from Apple to Android.

Idiot.

I'm not the one paying £1300 a season just to get pissed off every Saturday.

Imagine going to a restaurant which gives you bad service and undercooked food, complaining about it and then going again and again and again and again... 🤡

What was actually going through your head when you clicked the renew button?

What is your rationale for believing that Levy resigning/leaving his position and a new CEO being appointed (as one example of change) would not make anything better?

I am not saying you are wrong per se, but could you please explain it?
My rationale is that his replacement may do a worse job. But he may be better. I don’t know. I’m pretty clear on this idea I have that I don’t know everything that goes on in the club or the mind of Levy. I also can’t see into the future. My balls are hairy, they aren’t crystal.

But Levy got us to the point where finishing 8th is massively disappointing. He’s made promises that things are in hand and will improve. I’m for giving him a chance to deliver. If he doesn’t, he can get to fuck. But I’m not there yet.

Every single thing you just said was wrong.

1. I didn't spend £1300 to get pissed off every Saturday.

2. Spurs is not like a restaurant/product/service. A meaningless analogy.

3. You dont know if I have renewed or not.

Have another go..

Are you suggesting a relativist stance? As in, one person's spurs reality is different to anothers?

My reality is I am paying £1300 a season to watch Spurs become a worse than pre ENIC, cluster fuck shit show.

What is yours?
My reality is I’m paying a fuck load more than that every season, what with travel etc. And I go to less games than you do. And whilst I’m often not impressed by what I’ve seen on the field, i think it’s my role as a supporter of the club to do this. Have done so for decades.

My point on reality was that your idea of the situation we are in isn’t one I share. But I’m not the one saying people are wrong for holding a different opinion. Or that they are trolling. Or are paid by Woolwich to be dicks. It’s easy to just accept a different opinion.

I would be embarassed to admit how much I spend home and away to support Spurs, and it far exceeds £1300 which is just the face value of my home ST.

Can you share your view of our situation then for the benefit of a fellow supporter? I am not trolling you. Why would it be worse if Levy resigned?

Oh I'm sorry, a few posts back I thought I saw you complaining about 'your reality' and it looks to me like you're not happy with the product you've bought and as much as you are a fan of this club, to the eyes of our owners you're a customer because you are purchasing what they are selling.

This is your reality yet only you has the power to change it.

Ok but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Just opened the new stadium (his baby) Levy probably thought we /he would continue to be successful.

Im not actually sure he wants to sell unless somebody offers crazy money.

He always overvalues.

It's not like Ashley at Newcastle who was desperate to get out if a decent offer came along.

Although surely Lewis will have a big say on any potential sale?

Think Levy likes being the guy overseeing a big football club/entertainment complex.
But he is really , really , really shit at it

in my opinion and quite a few others on here at least

Again sir, you are incorrect. In this case it was not a complaint. I gave that information as a point of contrast to someone who also seems to support the club like I do by spending their money and time, and I want to understand their view or 'reality'.

You, with no skin in the game apart from being a forum dweller, start dishing out advice to season ticket holders that is akin to switching service providers. To people like me, and my friends and family that have supported Spurs for decades, it is meaningless.

Cool as I said, your life.

Not having a pop at your support. Just getting me defence in early in case the “you don’t even go to games” thing gets thrown about.

Anyway, a quick look at my previous posts on this would tell you all you need to know about my views on things. But a brief recap is that I feel Levy had made more good decisions than bad over the years. He’s got us to this level. Not everything good he does is lucky. He’s got us in a place where we could really kick in with the new stadium and revenue. And I feel he deserves a chance to deliver on his promises.

Saying all that, this promise delivery needs to be good and come soon.

There’s a difference between a speculative money making businessman and a skilled operational CEO. Levy can use his finance acumen to manage cost and make money and exploit others, but he’s a poor leader and would flop at the helm of a Nasdaq 500 company that wants growth, rather cut costs

I would do a better job than pinhead in a senior role of a public company but don’t have the private equity network to make money like he does

I wouldn't trust you with a $20 bill, you'd blow it on an herbal remedy from the Amazon for syphilis or something.

I appreciate you engaging me in a proper conversation about it and thanks for not just referring me to your old posts. Perspectives change day on day.

I think Levy has made exceptional decisions on the business front and he has no comparison there. Yet, on that level, we could mention Stratford and the ESL and I am relieved both things did not happen.

On the football front, and my main concern, Levy has shown ineptitude and a lack of competence/direction/prioritisation since at least 2004. All of Levy's fallback options have been more luck than judgement and his most successful (1st choice Santini->Jol, 1st choice Ramos->Redknapp, 1st choice Van Gaal->Poch)

No Spurs chairman/executive board, if we divide 20-year periods, has had such low success in terms of trophies aside from the period intersecting WW2.

Also, and this for me is the most damming thing, there is a "Spurs Show" podcast when Ramos was manager in which podcaster and coach Robert Easom wants Levy sacked and offers his justification why. At the time I disagreed with him but every single thing he said about Levy at that time was true then, and it is still true now. This was 15 years ago. Levy's priorities are wrong and his ruthless reputation to sack coaches that cannot perform miracles with average (or worse) players has completely caught up with him. We are a manager graveyard no doubt about it and we have regressed to a pre-2004 era. He quite simply does not know what he is doing, margins are all he understands, and he is not going to fucking change.

Yeah I feel like there are two layers to it.

Levy has always and will always be about petty swindles in the transfer market and off pitch business practices, with managers and recruitment chiefs being held accountable the moment they can't turn all that cynicism and chaos into the riches of Champions League qualification.

This drives a lot of people crazy, with justification. It's obnoxious and unsporting.

But those methods also brought the club quite a bit of success, for a time.

The second layer is that those methods so clearly don't work anymore, are destroying the club, and our competitive position is in a rapidly eroding death spiral.

More and more of the normal offline fans are waking up to that by the day.
