The Europa cup is imbedded within the culture of the club, any time they are in the competition they expect to win it. I watched their first win against Middlesborough, when Middlesbrough got to the final, I questioned why we couldn't get and I just got blow back about how it was a shit competition.
To be fair it kind of was then. No CL place for the winners and was mocked as the Channel 5 cup by many.
Now it's kind of prestigious especially compared to the Euro Conference thingy.
Might be a while before we're in the EL again let alone the CL.
Nope disagree, it was, is a very hard competition to win and we won it when it was the UEFA cup twice, we have won a solitary league cup, we had no right to turn up our nose at that competition. We are not Liverpool or Man U.

If levy had told him not to pick Kane that's different but it would be naive to think a Chairman isn't asking the coach about big money signings not playing.
Flipside is that if players like Dier and Hoj have Levy's ear, does that explain what Conte was saying about the reasons we don't win? Maybe these players get themselves picked or at least kept at the club by the Chairman having their backs.
